4/5 for PL-10591 - Plasma Glow Fire Storm LED Light Bar
Posted By:Jack M. (Seattle, WA) on 09/2009
Doesn't fit my 2009 f-350, 40 inch wont fit ether. The the easy lift hing on the right side of the tailgate prohibits full range of motion with out damage too the lights. Cool light, can't make fit.

5/5 for PL-10999 - Plasmaglow FireStorm Converter
Posted By:Jim P. (Mckees Rocks, PA) on 04/2009
An absolute must have for the LED bar! Only had to wire the reverse light and the power line to the battery. Wouldn't have even bought the LED Bar if I had to hardwire everything.

Looks Great, wasn't the easiest to install even with the 4-pin adapter (A must have) but I am overall very pleased, the double sided tape was a bit difficult to work with but overall for the first week, I am very happy.

4/5 for PL-10999 - Plasmaglow FireStorm Converter
Posted By:Robert F. (Triangle) on 04/2009
Install was good after I bought the adapter for the 4 way plug. Ford F250s are the B-type and it is a lot easier to use the adapter than to try and find all the connections for the turn signal wires within the wiring harness. I did direct wire the adapter to the 4 way plug. Only issues I see is the lights do not flash when the four way flashers are on and it would be a much better light if the red lights were brighter and closer together and they concentrated more LEDs into the bar itself for each of the colors.

This is a real time saver and keeps all the wires together. I am happy that I opt to include the converter in my order. However it took an extremely long time to receive it.

I am happy that I opt for the Plasmaglow FireStorm LED Light Bar. It is certainly an I catcher. The back up light really helps light up my view when backing in my driveway at night. However I found the same Light Bar on another website for $30.00 less the moment I submitted my purchase and it took alot longer to receive than countless of other items I have purchased throughout the Country. All in all I am pleased with the light.

It was more difficult to install than we thought. It shows up good at night but not as much during the day. I like the product, but it needs to be more user friendly.

3/5 for PL-10591 - Plasma Glow Fire Storm LED Light Bar
Posted By:Extibal F. (Monahans) on 08/2008
Well I will tell you this its a awesome led light bar that not many people will have in your town so if you want something unique this is it. Installation was OK kinda since my 08 Silverado had the same lights for turn and break i had to re wire to the front turn signals which took some time along with i decided to use the 12 volts from the trailer harness but it wasn't enough SO LISTEN TO ME JUST CONNECT THE + _ TERMINALS TO THE BATTERY. As for the rest I connected the turn signals like i said before to the front then the reverse, brake, running lights i use the trailer wiring but since i don't have brake lights by themselves i had to connect to the chslm wire under my dash and use a wire to the trailer harness aka the blue electric brakes wire since i don't have a brake controller that wire was also under my dash unused. So i just joined them together under my dash then their i had a brake light signal. Other than the installation its excellent once you get it running I do advise they sell a 24 dollar part that connects to your trailer harness that lets you connect everything but the battery terminals and not having to splice wires or anything or turn signals from the front or anywhere.

Wiring up the light bar on my 06 Silverado took several hours and a lot of crawling around under my truck. I followed the manufactures recommendation and wired the light bar straight to the battery. The other wiring was simple enough. All the effort was worth the end result. Only have one wish, LEDs were brighter

4/5 for PL-10591 - Plasma Glow Fire Storm LED Light Bar
Posted By:Geoffrey A. (Frisco) on 06/2008
I read MANY reviews on this light bar and was very hesitant on buying this but went ahead and did it. I know NOTHING about cars or electricity or wires etc and I have NO clue what everyone was bit***** about being hard to hook up and this and that doesn't work and hooking wires to front and 3rd brake light etc. I followed the instructions exactly and it worked fine. I guess it all depends on your car's wirering. I had a wire for the break lights, a wire for the turn signals, and a wire for the reverse light. I did NOT hook up the day time running lights cause I see no need for this. It worked perfect the very first time I hooked it up. The only thing that took time was running 2 wires to the truck's battery. I had to zip tie the wires and run them to the motor. I am not sure why they have to be connected to the battery terminals but I did as they instructed. So with that said let me tell you what my difficulty was with this product. No one mentioned that the LED bar is straight and you can't bend it at all. Well I guess most pick up trucks this is not a problem but I was trying to be creative and put it on the back of my 2008 Tahoe LTZ and the back bumper is NOT straight across it is rounded so I had a heck of a time trying to figure out HOW to get this on my truck. I had to modify the light bar and I took the little legs with the 3M tape off and I had to cut and shave down the "lip" of the light bar that is used to mount it.This allowed for my trunk to close without hitting the light bar. I then had to buy 3M tape and apply it to the bottom of the light bar and just stick it flat on my bumper. Since my bumper is not straight across I had to just settle with the 2 end pieces sticking out a bit on my bumper and not being "hidden" and flush with the back bumper. It doesn't look as clean as I wanted but then again this wasn't meant for curved bumpers or a Tahoe. As far as the LED's go, they look great! I love the scrolling LED yellow lights for the turn signals. There isn't as many LED lights as I had thought. The spacing between them is wider then I would like so therefore it isn't as bright as some light bars that have many more red LED lights. However it does look great and even better at night. So all in all I am happy. This would be perfect if I had a straight bumper. I wish they would somehow make it flexible so it would be an even easier install and more custom hidden look. Shipping was good but comes directly from manufacturer so takes a little longer then I had hoped as I was excited to get it and install it. I would buy from them again. THANKS!

Nice looking product. Instructions could be a little more detailed. Had to do a little research for installation on a F-250. ***Do not connect to the brake lights or high mount stop light as stated in the directions if you have cruise control or you may have problems with the cruise control working.*** There is a green wire provided by Ford in the wiring harness at the rear of the truck that will tie it in to the brakes. If installing on a F-250 you have to run your wiring for the running lights and turn signals all the way to the front of the truck.

Good product. However, The instructions stated to connect signal wires to front signals and the brake wire to third brake light. I found this a little difficult to do. Also, I did not like the option of having either the brake or "day running" ("always on") option. I think you should have separate connections to the rear & brake lights.
I removed a product from Line of Fire. Their product have rear, brake and signal lights(the hazard lights also operates when turned on). The Plasmaglow Firestorm have added features: the scanning(amber)signal and reverse(clear)lights.
Here is how I connected the wires. From the rear of the vehicle, I connected the(blue & yellow wires)to the left and right signals accordingly; the (white wire) to the reverse; the(green wire)to the brakes; the(black)ground and the(red)positive. It works well, however, when the hazard lights are turned on, instead of the amber lights blinking, the red turns on, but does not blink.
By connecting the (green) wire to the rear lights the signal lights does not operate properly.
Overall, it's a nice custom addition to my truck.
Thank you,
Claro Melchor

This lightbar is a sensation; a bit difficult to install if you don't know anything about truck wiring. Numerous people stop me and ask where did I get this item. They say "it is an eyecatcher and easy to see in both daylight and at night." I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to buy one. The people at Realtruck were very helpful with my decision to buy this item. Thanks Realtruck!!

this product is great there are a lot of light bars available but this is a one of a kind. The turn signal is the best part with this unit. If you are looking for something no one else has this is it.

Nice addition and great visibility. The only drawback is that you need to also have a constant 12V supply wired in or otherwise the turn signal doesn't work right. The sequential LED for turn signal is very cool once you wire it to a 12V circuit.
