The product works as desired but the installation was a nightmare! I had to drill a hole through the firewall finally and then buy silicone sealant to form a gasket of sorts. The recommendation that it be run through the hole for the hood release is a joke! Maybe after a lot of practice one can make that happen, but not easily. However, now that it is in, I like it but I would not do it again!!

It is a great product, but the directions are not correct for my 2011 Toyota Tundra. So my review only reflects the Tundra application. I rate it a 5 on performance, but 1 for ease of installation & correctness of instructions.
You need some experience in wiring this device. First, the directions say run the wiring harness up the left side of the truck, but the wiring panel is in the right side. So you need to run the harness up the right side--not left. The directions say run the harness into the cab through a rubber port in the left side of the firewall. Port is in the right side, so it will enter the cab next to the wiring panel. Then it says to isolate a blue wire for connection. There are 3 blue wires. I had to call and ask tech support. They gave me wrong answer, but I figured it out. Then it says isolate the white wire. There are 3 white wires. Same story---I had to figure out which one to use. Once installed, it works just fine. But it is not as easy as instructions imply. It is not a "plug & play" set up. It requires some experince with a volt meter and basic 12v wiring knowledge.

I just went through a rather long process with realtruck.com and they did well. The product I ordered was the wrong one (right part but not for my truck). The provider's lookup tables for my truck year and model were incorrect. Realtruck.com made sure I got the right part and I suspect helped other retailers by getting Pop n Lock to correct their part data.

Instructions were not very clear. I had to use a polarity reverse device to get the lock/unload to work properly. Not as easy as stated in the product review.

The Pop&Lock was easy to install and works great.
There was plenty of wiring pigtail to reach the factory wiring loom in the passenger's footwell of my Ford Ranger.
I just hit my remote key fob to lock my truck and I hear the Pop&Lock secure the tailgate.
