The problem is that when installed on my 2004 F150 IT DOESN'T FIT AS SMOOTH AS RENCON CLAIMS IT WILL. YOU WILL HAVE TO DO SOME MODIFYING OF THE LIGHT BAR TO GET IT TO WORK AND FASTEN FLUSH TO SURFACE. I first had to cut a 1/2 inch by 5/8 inch long notch in the black plastic part of the light bar housing to allow the tailgate pin to pass through the light bar when the tailgate is opened. Then on the F150 the opening on the panel under the tailgate /above the bumper where the pin passes through is not flush with the rest of the body. It has a raised area. That required me to build up the back of the light bar with a couple of strips of double sided sticky foam tape. None of these things are really a problem IF YOU KNOW THEM UP FRONT! Problem is Rencon doesn't tell you so when you try to install it you have problems until you figure out a way to fasten it satisfactory to a newer model F150. They are negligent in letting you believe there is nothing that needs to be done except adhere it to the surface with the glue/tape strips supplied. Now you F150 owners will be prepared. Once again, it looks really great just takes a bit more work than they claim. Funny thing is is that if you install it without doing anything. The first time you open the tailgate with the light bar on you'll break the light bar plastic housing with the pin in the bottom of the tailgate.....go figure! This is odd considering the F150 is the best selling truck in the U.S.

I called Real Truck back and they took care of it immediately. They e-mailed a return label next day. I shipped package back and e-mailed them the tracking number and they sent out a replacement before they received the damaged one back at no cost to me. I've since received new part and have it installed and it is working fine. All this took place in less than five days. Definitely a first class place to do business with.

(Albuquerque, NM) on 03/2008 Received as gift for Christmas for my 2007 Hummer H3 but on the hummer h3 it is not possible to mount where it was intended to be mounted. It has to be mounted on the lower (far bottom edge) of the tailgate door. the light seems to work good except when the lights are on , on the vehicle and you turn the blinker on the opposite side faintly blinks also. kinda was annoying so I cut the wire on the light bar for the park light and just use the blinker & brake light part of the bar seems to work good.

It plugs right into the tow harness. It's plastic so it wont rust. All the LED are lit and it looks great. It doesn't bing against the gate. Did I mention the white LED are pretty cool?
