Posted By: Patrick C. (Indianapolis) on 03/2008 I had a sunroof wind deflector on my 1986 Peugeot 505 and found it to be very practical. On my New Beetle Sport it has proven much quieter than having the sunroof in the pop-up position. I can drive at Interstate speeds with the sunroof completely open and not have much wind noise, though it helps to have the side windows open about 1/4 inch.
Installation was just a bit tricky, as it is not form fitting right out of the box. I found by loosely fitting one side, then bowing the other side down and hooking it in does the trick. Keep it loose for making adjustments and getting it squared and then tighten it down. Given my repeated measurements and tweeks to guarantee perfection, I was still done in 20 minutes.

Posted By: Carlos A T. (Erie, CO) on 03/2008 The Sunroof wind deflector is a good product but the instructions and the mounting hardware could use some engineers changes. It is not as easy to get in on. Getting it off is easy but getting it back on required a 3rd hand.
