The superchips firefly is the easiest way to turn your Dodge Cummins into a towing machine. Not only can you unleash the engine’s potential power but you will have the ability to change power levels on-the-fly, monitor turbo boost pressure and exhaust gas temperature with the use of the included Superchips Lazer Gauge. The FireFly system is the perfect product for users that want to create safe and reliable horsepower while maintaining control of the system through the use of the Lazer Gauge. The FireFly system is also compatible with Superchips 3805 Flashpaq after a download of their ‘Stacker’ tuning expected later this year. This custom tuning can be downloaded into the Flashpaq tuner to optimize the use of FireFly and Flashpaq together. For users interested in maximizing the power output of the 5.9L Cummins engine the FireFly and Flashpaq together create unparalleled horsepower and torque output.

Manufacturer Information

Superchips original products were EPROMs (or 'chips') which could be installed in place of the original OEM EPROMs located in your vehicles on-board control module. These chips, just like the tuners of today, keep the entire vehicle safety and emissions systems intact, but modify the fuel, spark and transmission settings to deliver dramatic power, torque and drivability improvements. With the advent of OBD-II vehicle control module in the early 1990s, most domestic vehicle manufacturers installed under-dash ports ('ALDL ports') which allowed dealers and service techs to 're-flash' the vehicles control module to change engine settings without replacing an EPROM.
