Hypertech Speedometer and Odometer Calibrator Programmer

The calibrator was very easy to use, the only issue was the circumference of my tires was 31.67 and the only choices I had was 31.5 or 31.75 but I got the speedometer with one mile an hour, according to my garmin... I recommend this product to anyone regardless of their mechanical/electrical back ground...

This product works great. It displays the exact mileage onmy speedo as my EDGE Attitude. The only issue I had was programming my truck. I own a 2005 Chevrolet Duramax running on 35's. The directions say to have the key to the "run" position in order to program. I had difficulty as it would reach 63% complete in the programming phase and then an error would appear saying it lost communication. After a bit of frustration, I tinkered with the programmer and discovered that if I began the programmng with the key in the "run" position,I would turn the key to "Accessory" positoin and it programmed the computer on the first time. Weird, but it worked. I did have the EDGE system disconnected while I progarnmmed it also. I have since recommended the programmer to my brother who also has a Duramax with 35's. He hasn't received it as of yet so we'll see if he has the same problems. I would highly recommend re-progranmmng your computer when you add larger tires,especially if you drive a Duramax with the Allison transmission. It brings it back to life with clean smooth shifts like we bought the Allison for. I drove my truck for about 300 miles after installing the lift and tires and it seemed to be searching for gears, not to mention my speedo was off by 9 miles an hour. One speeding ticket and this product paid for itself. Good buy. R Terry Laramie, Wyoming

Really easy to use, when they say "plug and play" they mean it. It took about 60 seconds to reprogram and now my speedometer is right. No more guessing. Also, you can upgrade it online if you want to pay. Pretty handy, very satisfied.

Works as described, a little on the expensive side for just a calibrator, but Real Truck's pricing is as good as it gets. Worked on my 2007 Wrangler X Model. Completely satisfied :o)

I informed the customer service rep I work for a dealership and I need a tool I can use to calibrate speedo's on 2008 F Series Diesel trucks when the wheels/tires have been changed. I was sold the HYP-742005. One of our customers, who had been waiting for sometime for us to find a way to calibrate his speedo, came in and we performed the programming. IT WORKED GREAT. When we tried to program another vehicle, it would not work. NO WHERE ON REALTRUCKS OR HYPERTECH'S SPEEDOMETER CALIBRATOR PROGRAMMER WEBPAGE DOES IT SAY YOU CAN ONLY USE IT FOR ONE VEHICLE AT A TIME. The guy at Realtruck couldn't find it anywhere. His thought was like mine, It's not like a performance chip. Regardless, the customer wasn't going to come back and let us take his speedo out of calibration so we could return the unit. It's now in the landfill since Realtrucks or Hypertech couldn't see to help us out. They could have reflashed it back to original settings if they (Hypertech) were interested in customer satisfaction. (I BET I WONT FIND THIS ON YOUR PRODUCT REVIEW)
