These high gloss panels are constructed from premium grade 304 stainless steel that offers a mirror like finish. B&I Rocker Panels compliment your vehicles extior and help enhance it's colors and lines. They also provide added protection for your vehicle from rock chips and other road debris. All Stainless Rocker Panels are custom tailored to your vehicle for a contoured fit. Easy at home installation is made possible with 3M's easy "Peel and Stick" adhesive. Preparation
Inspect package contents for shipping damage and to insure correct number of pieces. Dry fit all pieces to make sure you have the correct fitting kit. Do not remove protective liner until completing installation. Do not install on freshly painted surfaces- wait at least 2 weeks. Alignment is crucial so you might want to have a friend help you with longer pieces. Do not install in temperatures less than 65°F (18°C).
Installation
Clean coverage area to be free of all wax, oil, tar and dirt (use Acetone followed by rubbing alcohol- both cleaning agents you can easily find at your any hardware store). Layout pieces beside the vehicle in installation order. If you need to flatten the natural rocker panel curve for installation, run a rubber roller over the part surface while on the ground. Determine the installation position (noted in the description above). Start with the door piece (this will be your alignment point for installing the rest of the pieces) and peel back a portion of the 3M adhesive liner. Tack the top and bottom corners lightly and shift until properly aligned. Then, firmly hold down the corners and begin peeling off the rest of the liner while tacking the part into place. If you feel comfortable enough, you can completely remove 3M adhesive. Always be careful not to bend the part. Then, with a soft rag or rubber roller, firmly press the entire part down to insure complete adhesive contact. Finally, remove the protective liner.
Note
Allow the adhesive to fully cure 3 days until washing your car.
