The Extang Trifecta ™ has a unique tri-fold design that offers many benefits and features. The Trifecta ™ folding truck bed cover has only three steps to install, extremely fast and simple, installs in seconds with no tools, and is easy and fast to secure and release. This trifold tonneau cover is constructed of a premium sewn quality double-layered vinyl with anti-curl corners. The tri-fold tonno cover also has heavy duty commercial grade anodized rails and bows secured with multiple reinforcements using zinc dichromate, aluminum braces. The Heavy-duty locking straps secure the tonno in the open position. The new clamping system is extremely strong glass-filled nylon constructed speed clamps. The Extang SpeedKlamps™ stow away within the rails when tarp is open using quick over center adjustable, snap locking cam lever action. It also has an advanced sealing system with pro-grade labyrinth seals. The Extang Trifecta come complete with a lifetime warranty.

Do Extang tonnos work with bedliners?
Yes, however there are a couple of additional steps needed to make our tonnos compatible with them. If you have an under-the-rail liner, you may need small rubber shims to help lift our tonno cover over your tailgate protector. If you have an over- the-rail bedliner, you will need to notch your bed liner so our clamps can go through the liner and wrap around the lip of your truck bed. Instructions for doing this are included with every kit.
Can I open and close my tailgate with your tonnos?
YES, Extang tonno covers do not restrict the tailgate in any way.
How many support bows do the tonnos come with?
Three bows for a short bed
Four bows for a long bed
Note: Extang Tonnos have always came with more bows than many other tonno companies, giving the Extang Tonno the best support for rain run-off and really good looks. But, there are customers who have asked to buy an additional bow for even a better, more macho-looking tonno-and you can too! Just call or email our customer service department and they will help you order what you need.
Do your tonnos come in any different colors?
Yes, Black is standard, but we do offer a variety of other colors. Light Gray, Dark Gray, Navy, Off-White, Brown, Tan, Red, and Wine are available. These systems are a custom-order item, and take somewhat longer to produce. If you are thinking about a specific color, we suggest that you call our customer service department. Upon your request, we can send you our chart of custom color swatch samples.
What can I clean my tarp with?
Extang recommends that our tarps be cleaned with soap, water, and a medium bristle brush. If you wish to use a vinyl conditioner be sure to use our new TONNO TONIC™. Many other vinyl conditioners (such as Armor All®) contain chemicals that can actually damage your tarp. TONNO TONIC™ actually bonds molecularly to your Extang Tonno to give it that brand new look day after day. TONNO TONIC™ will not attract dust nor will it coat or seal your cover. TONNO TONIC™ actually allows your tonno to breathe naturally, while enhancing the appearance and providing with additional UV protection. Automatic car washes are usually safe, however you will want to avoid any sort of wax treatments.
Are Extang tonno covers difficult to install?
NO, for a retail customer the average installation usually takes 30 to 40 minutes (a professional installer can do it in 10 minutes. There is no drilling and no tools required except for the alan wrench which is supplied by Extang. Everything you need for a great looking tonno cover is included in your kit.
How do Extang tonno covers attach to truck?
All of are tonnos are a Clamp-on, top mount design. Along each side of your truck bed, there are clamps, which grab the lip of your truck bed. Our clamps and rails are completely padded - there is no damage to your truck.
How does your tonno cover attach to my truck?
All Extang Tonno Covers are no damage systems. Most are attached to your truck bed with clamps. There are a very few however, that require what is called a wall plate. This wall plate uses a 3M® adhesive tape. The wall plate attaches to the inside of the bed and then the top part of the clamp bolts onto the wall plate. WARRANTY DURATION: Lifetime Frame: Extang offers a lifetime warranty against defective materials or workmanship on all tonno rails, aluminum components, clamps, bows, hardware. 10 Year Tarp: Extang offers a 10 year warranty against defective materials or workmanship on the vinyl covering. The 10 year warranty coverage is as follows:
WARRANTY CONDITIONS: This warranty is against defective materials or workmanship. The warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, unreasonable use, neglect, improper service/installation/removal, modifications, acts of God, normal wear and tear or other causes not arising out of defective materials or workmanship. Consequential and incidental damages are not covered under this warranty.
THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS WILL ALSO VOID THE WARRANTY: Wind whip damage: Tarps must be secured at all points when vehicle is in motion. An unsecured tarp will flap, resulting in damage to the fabric.
Improper cleaning: Recommended to use the tested and approved Extang Tonno Tonic™ or clean with soap and water only. Do not use vinyl conditioners (i.e. Armor All®) because they will shrink the vinyl.
Overloading of cargo: Cargo should not touch the tonno at any point. Protrusions in the tarp will stress the fabric. Cargo may shift while traveling and cause it to push against the fabric and damage it.
The warranty applies to the original consumer/purchaser and for the truck on which the tonno was originally installed and shall not apply if the product has been removed from the original vehicle.
Warranty registration must be on file and/or proof of original purchase (detailed and dated receipt) required for warranty to be effective. Warranty coverage starts from the date of purchase.
PERFORMANCE: Provided all warranty conditions are met Extang will either repair or replace (at Extang’s option) the product or component. Extang may require the original item to be returned postage prepaid for final determination. Extang reserves the right to substitute and offer the respective warranty discount on an entire replacement system or provide other remedies than those listed in this warranty for discontinued products or other reasons. A return authorization number must be obtained from our customer service department prior to returning any product. Shipping charges will apply for any repair or replacement. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state.
