These look sweet on my 2012 Ram 1500. I wish they extended further back so I could use them to reach into the truck bed though. Everything lined up with the pre-drilled holes in my truck but if the bar had been 1/2" shorter in length it wouldnt have reached the mounting bracket. I had 4 bolts and 4 gold things leftover..?? not sure why.
I was able to figure the directions out okay..the first one took about an hour and the second one took about 25 minutes.
Tip: leave all nuts a little loose until its all put together, then tighten.

I just installed these on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Extra Cab: The directions were a small piece ticklish to the mind (Chinglish usually is), but the steps themselves are really cool! At 5" wide, they stick out a little more than "normal", but they look like they belong on the truck much more than a set of Smitty or Westins ever do on trucks I see. Even though they are made in China, they seem sturdy enough. They work great as a stair/step for my dog getting out of the truck. Her joints will last years longer from the lesser stress of the shorter final step to the ground. Did I mention I really like these steps. Great value for the price I paid at RealTruck.

The step bars looks great on my 2012 Tundra. They are wide so it's a lot more safer getting in to the truck. The only concern I have was the installation. The manufacturer need to come with a better instructions on how to install them or at least have some kind of illustrations. But what once I called the manufacturer and got help, it was easy.

I just received my RAM-16090 that is still in my garage. Has anybody installed one on Tundra CrewMax? I can't understand the instructions from the manufacturer. It would have been easier if there was some pics that show where everything goes.

These are not really an oval tube as you are led to believe, they are sheet metal rolled into a "C" shape. They scratch easily and could be made a little heavier.

Mount kit itself was well put together, but the instructions seemed lacking. The instruction sheet I received in the box was a single page of text, whereas the instruction sheet from the Rampage website included a very helpful (to me) picture and diagram of the proper installation of the mounts, bolts, and self drilling screws.

The kit is well made, but prepare to spend at least a good couple of hours putting these boards on your truck. You'll have to drill some new holes for the bolts near the body seam and pilot holes for the self-drilling screws. What you also won't realize is your drill may be too large to fit in between where the self-drilling screws go and the frame rail. I had to start at somewhat of an awkward angle in order to get the self-drillers in, and you need to do that twice per bracket (8 brackets). Be prepared, and have a GOOD strong drill handy.

This isn't a quick install but the end result is well worth it.
