Description

The Raptor Magnum 5" oval nerf bars feature a true oval design for a bold look. Their oversized design is the perfect compliment for today's fullsize pickup trucks. Raptor's Magnum 5" Oval nerf bars are constructed of marine grade 304 stainless steel that is fully polished to a mirrored finish.

Stainless steel endcaps are fully welded for a seamless finish and to prevent moisture from seeping inside the bar and for a totally awesome look on your pickup truck. A full 5" wide step pad gives the Raptor Magnum 5" Oval step bars a large step area with plenty of traction. To get exactly the look you want, they are available in cab length and wheel to wheel sizes.

step bars were dented. Real truck replaced them. The new ones were damaged too!!!

The shipment was fast, all the parts were there, install was simple and fast. I needed only two different size sockets and one hex wrench to do the install. They look just as good as what the dealership offered at nearly double the price.

The bars themselves look real nice but the installation process is not as easy as they make it look in the video. I installed these bars in a brand new 2011 chevy silverado 1500 and when removing the cab mount bolts to install the mounting brackets, the nut up inside the body broke free and i was unable to remove the middle cab mount bolt. after doing some research online this appears to be a common problem. In fact Dee-Zee running boards put out an urgent alert on this problem. If you should encounter this problem, my 2011 silverado had an accesss panel to the center cab mount bolt located under the carpet between the front and rear seat just above the cab mount bolt but not all model year truks have this access panel. If your truck doesn't, you could also bore an 1.5 inch hole with a hole saw from under the truck into the bracket where the nut is located and hold this nut with a box end wrench while you remove the bolt. later you can plug that hole with a rubber plug sold at auto supply stores.I highly recommend applying a little heat to the head of the bolts with a torch before trying to remove them as this softens the locktite that the factory puts on the bolts when they install them. I did this with the remaining 5 bolts on my truck and didn't have anymore problems. I also used a 3/4 inch drive impact gun to remove the bolts. I did read somewhere that you shouldn't use an impact wrench when doing this job but if you dont, good luck trying to remove these bolt because the are extremely tight all the way out do to the locktite that the factory used to install them.

Step bars look great. However, the front step pads are situated too far foward. Had to add some anti-slip material to avoid wear on bar metal.

Bars look nice, have to see how they hold up over time. 3 mounting brackets per side, not as heavy duty as I thought they would be, seems like the factory style I see on other trucks are sturdier. Only complaint is that the bars and brackets were all mislabeled passenger side was drivers side, installed one set before figuring that out.

The stainless step bars look excellent on my truck and are also very functional. I think the advertising for the bars is misleading, since the pictures show the 5 inch ovals as having an actual 5 inch step. I measured the step when they arrived and found that the step is only 4.5 inches. I contacted the company and they offered a poor excuse for why it is 1/2 inch short. Secondly, I was disappointed to see that the bars are not American made (and no, they were not advertised as such).

I Hav a 2005GMC Sierra1500 Crew Cab, I ordered the Raptor5" Step Bars,Had them put on and ny truck LOOKS like a new truck...I am VERY PLEASED & SATISFIED with them.
