Description

This universal tailgate seal also called a tailgate gasket kit is very easy to install by just cutting to length, peel the protective tape off and stick to install. These rubber tailgate seals are adhesive-backed EPDM automotive grade rubber and is designed to seal the tailgate area of pickup trucks to reduce dust, rain, and snow leakage by providing a tight tailgate seal. Great for pickups with toppers, lids and tonneau bed covers. Easy to follow instructions are included as well as an alcohol pad for prep. Total length is 9 feet to ensure you don't run short on seal material.

Installed easily in one piece with very good adhesive. There was enough seal left over to fill in some wider gaps.

Installation was easy and appearance looked good. However after 2 days, the seal was peeling off and looked like crap. Dirt and dust was stuck to the sealing surface so it would not reseal so took it off. Seal was installed per instructions. Tailgate / trcukbed surface was double cleaned. This product was a total waste of money!

It does the job. Not a perfect fit, not a perfect seal. But, it does keep out most of the dust and water spray.

The rubber seal appears to be of high quality. However, after applying the seal, the tailgate is a little too tight when opening. I am hoping that the seal will seat over time from the tailgate being closed. If not, then the seal will have to repositioned or removed.

Not nessary. On my truck Dodge Ram 1500 2012 did not seal on the bottom of the gate. the seal made the gate to tight to close and pushed the seal down causing the double stick tape to roll.
For the 20$ i guess the seal helps on the side a little, even then with the OEM bumpers you cant put a full piece of seal on any way. But I would never buy any of the others costing more than the 20$ i spent.

Will one thing it seals around the tailgate real good. It keeps the dust,water and anything that would get in. I am pleased with the product and how it works. It takes a little bit of time but once you figure it out it works great. There instruction that come with it.

The adhesive holding the seal is excellent once it takes hold, but the gasket material itself was not thick enough to provide a good seal. Even doubled up, there were still gaps. You need to get more than one to make it work.
