Description

This universal tailgate gasket sealing kit is very easy to install by just cutting to length, peel the protective tape off and stick to install.  These rubber tailgate seals are adhesive-backed EPDM automotive grade rubber and is designed to seal the tailgate area of pickup trucks to reduce dust, rain, and snow leakage by providing a tight tailgate seal. Great for pickups with toppers, lids and tonneau bed covers. Easy to follow instructions are included as well as an alcohol pad for prep. Total length is 9 feet to ensure you don't run short on seal material.

At first it seemed to help out alot. I have a bed rug and after a few weeks I noticed it starting to get dusty again. I'm not sure if its coming through the tailgate or the top of the bed. But it does seem to help. After purchasing on here I found the exact same one in Cabelas for $20

I found this weather seal very easy to install. Just make sure the surface is clean, and the weather is warm. Align the seal where you want to install it as best as you can. Use tape to hold it in place if necessary, this will give you an idea of what to expect during installation, and can highlight adjustments you may have to make. If you have to make corners with this seal, larger (gentler) arcs are best. When you are ready to install, peel back a short length of the adhesive backing - just enough to protrude out to the side. Hold the seal firmly in position, and pull on the adhesive backing that you had left protruding to the side of the weather strip. Do this in short portions, making sure that the seal is aligned correctly as you go along. When you have completed the entire strip, go over the area with the adhesive applying moderate pressure - use something that can slide easily over the rubber surface like a piece of folded cloth. When this is done you can close-up your tailgate, and if possible avoid exposing the seal to moisture, and any undue harassment for at least 24 hours.

Being really careful, installation time was about 30 min for me. I've had no problems, so this seal has been the perfect solution for my truck.

Good product just din't fit my application. The tailgate was too close to the bed. I did use in a couple of locations that had larger gaps. In these locations it stuck well and appears to be made of durable material.

Does'nt work on the nissan titan. The nissan titan has two big of a gap to seal. You would need a thicker gasket. The seal itself is good quality though. When you get it, it is packaged in a coil make sure you let it hang to straighten out for a couple of days. Otherwise it will not stick right to the metal.
