Installation was a snap on my 2005 Dodge Dakota. Plugged into my trailer plug no prob. Sure it covers the hole access to my spare tire, but how many times have I had a flat. Even if I did, the lights come off with a phillips screwdriver. The reverse light connector is straight foward. Snaps right over the positive wire then you plug the bar into that. Awesome bright reverse lights! Just what I was looking for. Thanks REALTRUCK.

Easy to install and love the looks but after three weeks in rain, snow, ice, and salt (that's as long as it's been on the truck) most of the LED's on the left half don't work. Cleaned the plug but that didn't help. Need to check on the warranty.

Fast shipping via ups ground. I took the optional shipping insurance and it was packaged very well with no damage to the light bar :)
On my 96 chev S-10 it would not fit on the bottom of the tail gate so i removed the license plate frame and installed just below the tailgate,this works out better anyhow because the bar won't move when the tailgate opens. It is stationary. I had planned on hard wiring but found a factory harness neatly tucked up by the frame held by a zip tie.
I purchased a four pin connector to mate the one with the light bar,used a meter to verify ground,left and right turn and running lights
then made and sealed all connections and zip tied the assembly neatly back to the frame. All functions well including the back up white lights. I would recommend this product to any one who would like to be seen a lot better and the lights look great.

This is the second unit that I have owned. Very good product with only two observations, the clear encapsulation tube turns quite yellow over time (first one purchased over a year ago) and when installed on a 99' S-10 (roll pan installed) there is a bit of interference as you drop the tailgate. I carefully lift the left side of the tailgate after unlatching and leaning it slightly outward. This gives enough clearance with my configuration. This is probably not an issue with a non-customized truck. One more note, I use to get hassled while using a different light bar manufacturers product (OEM lights removed and holes filled/welded) because they were not sufficiently bright enough and had no reverse lights. The state statuates here require a truck with a 48" or less width be visible from a minimum of 300 feet. RECON's light bar covers Fl. and Fed. Gov. requirements and I no longer worry about getting pulled over. RealTruck shipped my order same day and I was actually, but happily, surprised when it showed up so quickly.

I did not use this prouct for a truck. Rather i installed it into my 2004 saturn ion with a body kit. the back bumper on the body kit has room for grille along the bottom. so to get the light centered in the open grille area i got a two by four and some metal to wood apoxy. Then took the piece of wood painted it black and used the tape that came on the tailgate light to tape it to the pice of wood. then once all the paint and tape dried i used the apoxy to affix the piece of wood to my actual bumper which already had the waffle pieces removed for the instilation of the body kit. Then for good measure i used zipp ties just to make sure the light would not move.Also my instilation was probly harder than most becasuse i had to link wires instead of just pluging it in, but the end result is amazing. Will send photos if you want.
