We're ready to Deliver More to you!  Let us help you find the best pair of running boards for trucks, SUVs, and vans you can find anywhere!

Function With Purpose
Since the invention of the truck, the running board has been one of the first accessories a fella (or super industrious lady) added to their ride.  They’re considered to be so useful and versatile because of their heavy duty nature as well as their ability to last the lifetime of the vehicle.  The fact that they’re used constantly is never overlooked.

Getting in and out of your high clearance vehicle shouldn’t be an arduous task.  Running boards offer the safe step up and step down that you and your passengers should come to expect.  In addition to helping you get in and out, they provide a non-slip, grip-able area to place your feet.  Snow, sleet, mud, ice, dirt, grit, and any other oily mess that the road carries is no match for the side step board!Running Boards for Trucks

Running boards come with a variety of additional features to enhance the quality of your overall experience. Some have electric options which allow them to retract when the door is closed. This makes for a smoother, sleeker look to the truck when it is in motion as well as while parked. Lighted pickup truck running boards illuminate for safety (and style) in unlit areas. One option is even a deep welled storage board that allows for additional stowing of things like tow straps and other gear you may not have room for in the cab of your truck or SUV.

Sizes and Features
What’s most amazing about the running board is the fact that you can get virtually anything you desire.  Partial to extruded aluminum?  We've got it.  More of a traditional steel fella?  No worries there.  There are literally hundreds of different material, length, and finish combinations to choose from here at RealTruck.com.  All offered to ensure you get the solution you need.

We carry steel, stainless steel, extruded aluminum, diamond plate aluminum, and molded ABS plastic.  Some running boards even offer a combination of the metallic products and the molded ABS product to produce a wonderful corrosion resistant, stylish, and classic looking board.

Getting the best fit can mean a couple different things when it comes to running boards.  All side step boards have a nice wide step platform.  A minimum of about 5 inches is to be expected, but some can get as large as 7 inches.  That’s pretty wide!

Your length is determined by the size of your truck cab when you are ordering a cab length running board.  These run from the rear of your front wheel to the end of your cab.  These are sometimes lengthened or supplemented with bed length running boards, which run from the back of the cab to the front of the rear wheel.  They close the gap and make the truck appear to have a full length running board.

You can also order wheel to wheel running boards.  These run fully from the back of the front wheel to the front of the rear wheel.  All running boards are custom fit to the year, make and model of your vehicle so the length is matched perfectly on every order!

Head Turning Style
How do you set yourself apart from the crowd when everyone has access to the same boards online?  Truck running boards seem like a dime a dozen, but when you’re RealTruck (that’s us) and you’re offering over 20 different boards you have a lot of room for differentiation!

Check out our different finish options.  You can trick out how you accent your ride with silver, polished, traditional chrome, black, brushed, and even paintable.  Now that’s customization!

Installation is Easier Than You Think
Because the running boards we sell are almost always custom fit to the year, make, and model of your particular vehicle, cab, and bed size – you know you’re getting the perfect pair of side step boards every time.  This makes installing your new accessories a breeze.  Most running boards are no-drill, bolt on applications.  They simply attach to the pre-drilled holes located on the undercarriage of your truck, van or SUV.  The factory has already placed them there assuming you may add OE style products at a later date.  Pretty awesome, right?

However, some products do recommend and require some drilling due to the special nature or age of your truck.  Always check with the product line details and if you have questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.  RealTruck recommends using a professional installer or a body shop to work with any powered running boards (for example, the Amp brand boards).  These requires electrical work and may need additional component installation and work.
