How does the SnowSport Install to my vehicle? The SnowSport Utility Snow Plow attaches to a 2" front or rear receiver hitch. The push frame for the plow just hooks up like a ball mount. Note the hitch needs to be from 9" to 16" off the ground for ideal operation.
Is a front or rear 2" x 2" receiver hitch needed? Yes: For 2" Front Receiver Hitchs we suggest you order the SnowSport Brand 2" Front Receiver Hitches. (Note: for Jeep & Ford F250+ SuperDuty applications, if you want to use a front mount - the SnowSport brand is required). For 2" Rear Receiver Hitchs, any 2" receiver hitch will work provided it is between 9" to 16" off of the ground.
How difficult is it to assemble and install the snowsport snow plow? The Snowsport Blade and Push Frame are easy to assemble. Plan about 30-45 minutes depending on your mechanical skill.
How difficult is it to install a front receiver hitch mount? The front end hitches are designed to bolt in place on most models - occasionally, certain models my require drilling. The instructions are clear cut. The front receiver hitch is mounted to the vehicle and the push frame is plugged into the front recevier hitch. The plow simply hangs on the push frame.
Can I install the SnowSport Plow myself? YES, the instructions are clear cut. If you do need assistance, call 1-877-216-5446 or 701-253-5906. Our customers overwhelmingly say "it was simple and easy to install". The front hitch varies from vehicle to vehicle.
How is the SnowSport Plow shipped? It is shipped via UPS/ Fed Ex Over Size 3 and sometimes it is also shipped via Common Carrier (Truck Freight) The blade is in one box, the push frame is in one box, the angling interceptor is in one box and the hitch is in one box. We select the best shipper possible depending on where you live and from which warehouse the Snowsport ships from.
How easy is the SnowSport Plow to hook-up or un-hook between jobs? It's very easy. Just insert the push frame into the front receiver hitch and secure with pin. Then hang the blade one end at a time onto the push frame (can be done in less than a minute). Un hooking is just a easy. You can also leave the blade in the transport position on the push frame all winter long.
How do you switch from transporting to plowing or from plowing to transporting? The operator must manually unhook the plow and lower it for plowing. For transporting simply lift the blade, one side at a time, onto the push frame. You can also leave the blade in the transport position on the push frame all winter long.
How can the SnowSport Plow operate without hydraulics? The blade is secured by the push frame. As you push the snow, the blade travels up and down as needed by gravity pushing the snow with the rubber cutting edge and aluminum blade. The rubber cutting edge is designed to cut through the snow but pass over the harder ground surfaces below and be gentle on grass. When you back up, the blade automatically lays back, skimming over the surface. Then you drive forward and the blade re-engages for plowing.
How well does the rubber cutting edge and box ends hold up? The rubber cutting edge is 1" thick 6" high - made of a hard rubber compound. This has been tested and proven to provide years of service. It can be replaced relatively inexpensively.
What is the warranty? The plow has a 3-year limited warranty. See the owners manual for details.
Can I move the SnowSport from one vehicle to another? Yes, the plow can be easily transfered to another vehicle, all you need is a front or rear receiver hitch installed on that vehicle.
How do I know if the Snowsport Plow will work for my vehicle? The Snowsport Plow will work on virtually any compact or full size SUV or Pickup. All you need is a front or rear 2" receiver hitch. Please note we recommend for the front hitch you use the Snowsport Brand. If a front hitch is not available in the Snowsport Brand Front Receiver Hitch you can use a Rear 2" Hitch or Have a Hitch Shop Build you one. The 2" hitch just needs to be between 9" to 16" off the ground.

The product was shipped in multiple packages - all of which arrived before the projected date.
Installation went well considering one person did it - I'm glad it was summer and not winter. Bolt pattern for attaching Front Hitch was not explained as clearly as it could have been, ie. 3 bolts one side and 4 on the other, due to the orientation of the existing truck hardware. However, it did fit well. Putting the other plow components together was straight forward.
It will be interesting to see how it works this coming winter. The system looks solid.

I purcased this plow last fall.I am very pleased with it.It did everything I expected and more.I have a long driveway and I didn`t have any problems.We had a storm that dumped about 11" of heavy snow and the plow went through it with no effort.I think it would work well with smaller trucks also.I would like to buy stock in this company.Very impressed.

One of the best investments I ever made. I used it for my apt. complex as I am responsible for snow removal. Once my friends and family heard I had a plow I was doing 5-8 driveways each snow fall. I now have hooked up a Hydraulic Plow to my Jeep as I have started a business and need back dragging ability. That was the only downside to this plow but was already known before buying it so I can't give it less stars. I would shovel out the first 10-15 feet closest to the Garage door and push out the rest with the plow. If you can get into the garage you can push out from it and not shovel at all. Overall, it is built with good construction and innovation. Easy hook up and you can use the mount for a host of other uses. The angling function is kind of useless considering the rubber wings hold all the snow in front. You wouldn't believe the mounds of snow I pushed in 4 wheel low with this plow. I am keeping mine, putting it on an Explorer and using that as a back up plow.

I use it on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee on the 400 feet of gravel and 600 feet of paved driveway I have. Works terrific for the money. You have to keep up with higher snowfalls to keep it low enough to work well but the only limit I found was the size and weight of my truck and having a place to push the snow. Up to about 6 inches of average weight snow and I can do the whole thing in just two passes. We had a record snowfall of three feet in just one storm this past season and it was useless for that but I think any plow would have been. I had to use my old 5 horsepower snowblower and take ALOT of time. I used to use a 20 horsepower garden tractor with a 60 inch sleel plow before and I can do in 20 minutes with this what used to take over an hour with that. I do have to get out to lift and angle the blade of course (which I didnt have to do with the tractor) but I am warm and dry in the meantime! I did not take it easy with this and after one season of heavy use it still looks new. Definately good quality and simple, rugged construction that I can tell will last a long time.

I love this plow! It was easy to install and remove from my Jeep. With summer here I have the blade and frame stored in the garage and my Jeep is completely free of any residual plow "machinery" - winches, etc. The blade itself is easy to lift up and down from the frame - and belive me I'm in no great shape - just a typical 50+ year-old woman. My only complaint about the plow is that is doesn't lift when you back up (it swivels back when you are in reverse) - but that is a very small price to pay to not have all the heavy winch and electrical junk attached to your truck as with other plows.

The snow sport snowplow worked great. I had snow from 1" to 14" and was quite pleased with this product. I will say that you will have to make 2 passes because the blade doesn't lock down. But you are inside your truck so who cares! The blade push left, straight or right. You have to figure where you want the snow so as not to keep changing the angle.
Installing the front hitch took about an hour and you will need a jack to hold it in place while you screw it in. It took about 2-3 hours to build the blade, everything fit perfectly and I was taking my time.
As you can tell by this review, I recommend it to any home owner who would rather sit inside of their truck verses walking behind thier snowblower

I had that unique problem of a driveway too short for a full size plow but too long for a snow blower. The Snow Sport HD fit my needs perfectly. It can handle the wet and dry snows very well. It is easy to assemble and the front receiver went on my Jeep Cherokee without any welding or cutting. It also is so light that there is no front end issues like some full size plows.
It would have gotten 5 out of 5 stars but the plow collects snow, grass, and or mud between the blade and the sides. But that is only a minor issue. Now to teach my wife to use it to free me up for other things.

The plow was shipped quickly. It was a breeze to install and best of all, it worked as advertised. It was a rough winter here in south Jersey. Plenty of heavy wet snow. The Snowsport plow on the front of my Toyota Tacoma took care of it with no problem!! I have become very popular with my neighbors. We all have long driveways and none of us are getting any younger. Still waiting for the next snow. We tested the plow and it works just as advertised. My son (15) helped me put it together and we had in on the front our 2006 Hummer H3 inside of two hours. Directions were simple and fit/finish was good (went together very easily).

Supplied front mount bolted on my truck without issues. The Plow assembled quickly and easily slid into the truck mounted receiver. I was plowing just a few hours after the plow arrived. I used the plow for the first time today, It was great, I've never had a snow plow before, although I have used a front end loader. We had about 10" of dry powder snow today I own a mini storage, and had to pay someone back in December to plow it. It had snowed on Saturday, and I didn't get plowed out until the following Wednesday, it took the guy 4 hours, and all he did was the main asile, and a parking area in front of the location it cost me $400.00, and I still had to shovel out all of the units. I used my Snow Sport Plow, and it took me 3 hours to do around all 8 of my buildings in front of 5 offices, and an additional parking area it the rear, I actually did it twice. I figure at the rate we are getting snow around here it will pay for itself by the end of the winter. For the money you can't beat this plow, and it's so easy to hook up, and take off when your finished. I might suggest if you get one that you have a friend help you install the front mount It is difficult to do by yourself, however once that is on the rest is easy.

This plow is heavy duty construction and works excellent for all or most residential or homeowner applications under light and reasonable snow conditions. Everything I have read about the quality and application of this plow is true. This plow has no hydraulics or electric, nothing to maintenance or break, can be moved, shared, and stored easily, moves snow better than expected, and is priced for the conservative homeowner like me. You will or might, occasionally, have to manually move the blade up or down or left or right, maybe not depending on your circumstances.
The plow mount and 40105 front hitch fit my GMC Canyon, 4WD, Off Road truck like a factory installation with no drilling. The installation was a breeze except for the two front hitch bolts connecting to the front of the truck frame. There is nearly no access to hold the bolt nuts in place while inserting and turning the bolts to tighten the bolts onto the frame. I tried removing the skid plates and other parts with no luck, none, just no space. Eventually, I taped each nut onto a long open wrench, slid and held the wrench in position (1"-2" opening) and then easily turned the bolts into the nuts while holding them in place with the wrench. The two rear frame bolts must be fished from the rear of the truck frame near the rear bolt locations = and works like a charm with little difficulty. I am very handy and mechanically inclined and installed the complete plow by myself in about two hours. The plow and mount installation is straight forward and easy, but does require more experience, tools and wits than suggested. Hint: position all bolts in place with the nuts turned enough to hold the bolts in place = do not tighten any bolt on the hitch to the frame until all four bolts and nuts are in place = you will need some good easy movement from the hitch to successfully and more easily install all four bolts and nuts. Then, tighten all nuts accordingly. And remember the open wrench, nut, and tape trick because you will need it. Use only enough tape to hold the nut in place so you can easily remove the wrench.
The hitch is shipped separate from the rest of the parts. All parts arrived by UPS in 4 days with nothing missing and basically perfect condition. My top plow blade did arrive with two small distinct chip/dents most likely caused by UPS delivery service. Although RealTruck did not reply to this matter and I did not pursue the matter, their customer service throughout the purchase and delivery process was outstanding and I would recommend RealTruck and SnowSport to all of my friends and associates.
For a few years, I have studied all homeowner/residential snow plow options on the Internet. I found the snowsport snow plow works great and fits my budget. It cut down my shoveling and snow blowing work and time big time. I have a 300 foot driveway and other parking area. It is about time I added this plow to my winter arsenal.

Works great. What can I say? Mounted up to my 99 Jeep Cherokee exactly how the directions said it would. Everything fit perfectly. I'm pushing 60 and I can take the plow blade on and off with no problem and the mount has grab points on it which makes it real simple to remove from the Jeep frame mounted receiver. Oh, does it push snow? Sure does. Did my entire parking area in 5 minutes instead of three hours by hand to do part of it. Now I'm looking for a real killer snow storm to give it a serious work out.

Took about 1 hour or so to install. I would recommend that the self taping screws be replaced with self taping bolts of the same diameter. I got mine at the local hardward store. It is very easy to strip the phillips head with a cordless screwdriver.
This blade does work. I have used it in eastern South Dakota for 2 snow storms with each about 10 plus inches. It works just like the youtube video. I do not know if I really need the angle part. I tried the angle feature out and it really was not that helpful. It does NOT rip up the driveway. I have a 400 foot dirt drive and a large heavy blade would always dirt the road, this did not but did get down to do a good job on removing snow. I have raised the blade and travelled at 60 mph with not a problem. It was nice that after the storm, the blade was easy to remove and store until the next storm. ave a 95 chevy with a V6 and that had enough juice to move snow.
For the price, can not beat it. A lot cheaper than most blades with hydraulics and with no hassles of them failing.
The only true problem is that if you truely need the ground scraped to remove any packed snow (like a snow packed parking lot) the blade is not heavy enoough (100 pounds) but that also means that it does not dirt up your driveway. I have found that you do not need to scrape that "clean" in the country.
DO get the mount that goes on the front of your truck. I did try in on the rear first and it is so much easier to plow forward vs backward. I would buy another one again if I need another blade.

Called in my order on the 21 st of Dec and received all the pieces by the 7th of Jan. The most difficult part about putting the plow together was putting the hitch on. Took me 2 hours to put it all together once the hitch was on ony because I didn't have all the power tools. Works great and looks slick.

Good Quality, easy assembly. Most difficult part was installing the front hitch. Definitely requires car jacks and hydraulic lift. Fishing tool is an absolute must. Minor modifcation to front air dam and skid plate covering the oil pan were necessary for my vehicle. I also shortened one mounting bolt on each side to insure tire clearance. I've used the plow twice for heavy snow, so far. It works great on my 150ft sloped gravel driveway. I purchased the hold down stap, but two heavy duty bungie cords will provide the same results, so save yourself some money. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and with RealTruck.com

I was very impressed with the quick shipping. Every necessary part was included. It was super easy to put together. The front receiver mount fit perfectly, all the hadware was included for the receiver. I used it for the first time today and was very impressed. It worked better than I had expected. I have been searching for a used plow for over a year for my 87 Jeep Wrangler. The used plows in my price range were usually junk. I am so glad I found this plow online.

The quality of this plow,and the design & engineering are for sure above what I had expected for a plow of this price range. We are now waiting for some snow up here in central Minnesota to try it out, we sure hope it works as good as it looks, the people that I know that have had them for a year or so already are very happy with there Snow Sport HD.

I haven't had any snow yet to put the snowplow to work but I would like to tell you of an addition that I put on. I added a twenty one inch handle in the middle of the snowplow so that I could take it off and put it on by myself. I would also suggest making the front side of the carrier taller than the backside so that when your lifting it from the transport position it has something to catch on. The plow is a really great design using aluminum segments with the thick rubber as the bottom. The part that took me the longest to install was the adapter to my 1998 Dodge Dakota. It took substantially longer than 20 minuites to install. All that aside, I used the plow last week and what would have normally taken me 2 to 3 hours, took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. I was extatic! This plow is a great investment in saving me time and back-breaking work.

Having used the plow for about 10 times In thought it would be a good time to write a review. I have it attached to a GMC Envoy SUV with 2" front mount receiver.
First let me say that I am very happy with the plow and with the customer service I received from Real Truck.
The plow is very easy to use and does a good job removing the snow. It has no down pressure and so it tends to leave a small skim coating of snow on the blacktop. If it hits dry pavement it tends to skip or chatter on it due to the rubber scraper. I has worked fine with a base layer of snow and a top layer of ice. I does not work well trying to remove slush or ice from the pavement without the snow base layer.
With my Envoy I had to build a small air scoop to ensure the radiator did not overheat as was the problem I had when driving on the highway with it.
My overall opinion is that I should have bought it a long time ago and the only real drawback is no down pressure to truly scrape the blacktop clean.

This snow plow has already earned it's pay here in mid michigan. It works as advertized. The only two issues I have is that the frame wants to fall too low to get back up when backing up (I ended up putting a ratcheting strap around the handles and the frame to keep the blade from falling too low), and when going over clean pavement you have to go very slow.

This is on a 2007 Toyota Tundra. It fits the vehicle well. The blade, coupler, and receiver all seem very heavy duty. Assembly was very simple, but you need 2 people. The blade is heavy about 100 pound, and the coupler is heavier than you think. It is high quality but is difficult to install and remove alone. There has not been any snow yet, but if the quality of construction is an indication of how well it will preform, I am expecting great preformance.

Well once all the parts arrived, the plow worked good. It would have helped to had all the parts before the first snow fall. The plow was great moving new powder, but not so great moving packed snow. Coming up hill was a problem with packed snow but powder it worked great.
We are hopeful, next year will be better. We have a 1/4 mile drive on a north slope in the Colorado Rockies and we own and operate a Bed & Breakfast. Keeping the driveway clear, means guests can get to us. After seeing what this little plow did this winter, we feel next year getting fresh snow moved will keep the drive clear.

The snowplow worked greater than we had hoped for. We use a Jeep Wrangler with a front mounted hitch. By using 4WD and low range, snow removal is very easy. The plow is used at a high school and the money saved from using an outside contractor has already paid for the purchase price of the plow. After using the plow three times, the plow still looks like brand new.
