This is not safe as it creates stress on your hitch and ball mount. With the QuietRide system the "clanking" felt when towing is eliminated. With solid stainless steel construction and a salt spray tested, corrosion proof brass lock, the QuietRide Locking Hitch Pin is the highest quality towing system in the market today. A rubber cage holds a durable nut in place inside of your ball mount. A stainless steel bolt cinches the nut securely to the side of your hitch receiver taking up all of the slack in today's hitch receiver design. Included with the QuietRide Locking Hitch Pin is a durable lock cover to protect the lock from road debris.
