Chrome is the most classic looking finish you can get for your vehicle and RealTruck is happy to carry Stampede Chrome hood deflectors. Engineered with an extremely aerodynamic reverse flip, the Stampede Chrome bug deflector's main job is to protect your hood and windshield from bugs and small debris like rocks. No one likes getting chips on their truck or SUV, and getting a deflector is a great way to cut down on those little annoyances in life.
Stampede's Chrome shields are made from impact resistant acrylic. They're then put through a wet electroplating process to get their chrome finish. This is the same process manufacturers use on the trim pieces your vehicle currently sports. By their very nature, they're UV resistant and made to sparkle and glisten in the sun's rays like a diamond.
The form fitting design is standard for each Chrome deflector ordered as they are made to fit the year, make, and model of your particular ride. Because they mold perfectly to each dip, curve and swoop of your shield, you get an OE look and a product that performs well.
These bug shields mount in a variety of ways - in front of the grille, behind the grille, or under the hood. Stampede has made sure that each hood shield can be easily mounted at home without any drilling or cutting. Easy to follow instructions are included along with any needed hardware.

I inspected the guard upon arrival and was pleased with the obvious attention to detail on all sides. Have seen some with neglect on the underside facing paint as if manufacturer was hoping to hide it after installation. Not stampede! Just as smooth and beautiful on the underside as the visual side as well. Installation is straight forward and is formed just right. Makes the truck stand out and im getting positive reaction from all people who see it. Love the low design but still does the job. Useful upgrade that didnt hurt the bank.
Looks pretty good, but I can't say I'm impressed with the reduction of bugs on my windshield.
Taking off the grill was a lot of work, should be an easier way!
Easy install-perfect fit for my 2014 RAM 1500. Have a couple of spare screws handy. Had difficulty taking the protective film off. Take it off BEFORE installing. Live-Do-Learn.
I can't begin too say how Awesome this Bug Shield makes my 2014 GMC Sierra look, It already has a sleek look without it. But with the addition WOW it really stands out. Have gotten so many compliments on how great it looks. Thanks Realtruck.
Went on fairly easy. The side pieces don't line up with the contour of the hood edges as best as they could but once it's on it looks and works great
Before buying I read the reviews of others & noted that several had difficulty installing. Having had a little experience, I figured I'd be able to work my way through a challenge & that is what it was! Instructions were simple enough except you could not put your hand through my grill in order to remove it. Using a little imagination and effort (2 hours)I was successful.
The finish of the deflector has a couple of blemishes which could not be seen until the protective film was removed. Thus I've down graded the quality rating, as a result.
Nice shield a little tricky to install as screws and plastic nuts are so tiny actually if done by two people it a cinch
