Chrome is the most classic looking finish you can get for your vehicle and RealTruck is happy to carry Stampede Chrome hood deflectors. Engineered with an extremely aerodynamic reverse flip, the Stampede Chrome bug deflector's main job is to protect your hood and windshield from bugs and small debris like rocks. No one likes getting chips on their truck or SUV, and getting a deflector is a great way to cut down on those little annoyances in life.
Stampede's Chrome shields are made from impact resistant acrylic. They're then put through a wet electroplating process to get their chrome finish. This is the same process manufacturers use on the trim pieces your vehicle currently sports. By their very nature, they're UV resistant and made to sparkle and glisten in the sun's rays like a diamond.
The form fitting design is standard for each Chrome deflector ordered as they are made to fit the year, make, and model of your particular ride. Because they mold perfectly to each dip, curve and swoop of your shield, you get an OE look and a product that performs well.
These bug shields mount in a variety of ways - in front of the grille, behind the grille, or under the hood. Stampede has made sure that each hood shield can be easily mounted at home without any drilling or cutting. Easy to follow instructions are included along with any needed hardware.

After a year water marks and small pits appeared in the chrome. Recommend you wax every time you wash the truck. I have low miles and keep truck under a large carport.
Well this was not an under hood mount as described which I wasn't happy about. Contacted customer service and they were very quick to email response. I then spoke to someone who was going to send me the correct item. Not. Then I spoke to someone who was supposed to shup me some more double sided tape to stick on my new truck. Never got it. So customer service made me feel good about them taking care if my issue BUT they never did anything. So I gave up and found another supplier for my other purchases.
Love the look of the new bug shield; fairly easy to install; recommend 2 person installation though; pins are hard to push in but once they are in they seem to be holding well
I put this on my 2014 dodge ram express with little effort. It looks great.I seen some complaints about noise at higher speeds,I just drove on the PA turnpike for close to 400 miles and I haven't heard anything different when I got to higher speeds.
This bug screen is practically impossible to install with the hardware provided. The fasteners are completely inadequate and need to be redesigned. I had to purchase a different fastener locally to do the installation.
