Stampede Products VP Series Hood Shields are their top of the line bug deflectors designed with an aerodynamic reverse flip for superior deflection providing full hood and front fender protection on some models. The VP bug shields are contoured to fit new integrated hood designs and these body blending hood protectors are engineered to be an exact fit for each vehicles hood style. Stampede backs their hood protectors with a limited lifetime warranty. VP Series bug guards are made from high quality acrylic to prevent chipping or cracking and are available in either a dark smoke tint or a paintable clear finish.

(Chicopee, MA) on 06/2009 I really like the look and the conformity to the hood, but very disatisfied in the mounting procedures. I don't like the the way you have to tuck it under the grill which makes the grill stick out at the top but I can live with that. My biggest complaint is the underneath mounting. The curvature of the deflector does not conform to the hood very well. I finally had to get a couple of rivets shot in to get it to hold. It could use some redesigning.

My previous shield was lower to the top of my hood of my suv. The ease of locating, purchasing and receipt of this product was awesome. Again your service was great. I would recommend as a matter of fact people have asked me where I have found the 'clear' shield as they are not accessible in any of the auto part stores in my area...I tried NAPA/AdvancedAuto/Pep Boys etc. Thank you.

On my last vehicle the bug shield cause a rattling noise as the air passed the upper part of the windsheild. Not with this sheild.
