Tonneau Covers & Racks

RealTruck carries truck racks designed to work specifically with rack option tonneau covers. Most racks are made from rust free, light weight aluminum or stainless steel. The hard rack option tonneaus are heavy duty ABS plastic or powder coated aluminum and made rugged to withstand the harshest elements. The soft rack option truck bed covers are constructed from heavy duty vinyl.

Designed to handle the weight of a heavy rack load, most rack option truck bed covers are normally hard cover multi-panel, folding or retracting tonneau covers. The tonneau cover rack option provides the ability to handle the extra weight an additional topside load may add.

The difference between Hard and Soft Cover Rack Option Tonneaus

Hard covers are made of aluminum and the racks themselves are also made from light weight aluminum. This makes your installation easy. In fact, some models offer no drill installation. The method of upgrading your truck to a tonneau cover ready for a rack mount means simply tightening some clamps and bolts.

Soft cover rack ready truck bed covers are made from heavy duty vinyl and sturdy aluminum cross bars. The ability to roll your cover allows for protection from harsh weather and dust as well as flexibility when it comes to covering loads.

RealTruck offers top of the bed mount style and inside the bed rail style rack truck bed covers. Inside the bed rail mount covers are easy to install and are low profile. Over the bed mount styles offer excellent protection to your truck bed rails but are more difficult to install and most often don’t allow for truck bed rail accessories to be mounted.
