 I had to make "modifications" to get the extender to fit properly.

I have a plastic liner on the tailgate, had to remove the liner, and make cuts.

The mounting brackets didn't fit between the ribbing on the tailgate,increasing the distance from the bolt holes. The bolts were too short.

Three expander nuts fell into the tailgate during my first attempt at the installation.

The bolts that mount to the tailgate were too short, had to buy longer bolts.

There should be an "Extreme Warning" about the clearance,so the the tailgate will close.

I mounted the the hardware a bit too close to the truck bed, and now the tailgate wouldn't close. So now I can't keep the extender in the truck. (my bad)

My only options now is to do order more bolt and nuts, recut the the tailage liner, and do another installation.

Overall it's functional but I'm disappointed I have to remove extender from tailgate when not in use.

 This is an excellent product, perfect for my every need. It was very easy to install on my 2011 F150, only had to drill 2 holes in the tailgate. The tailgate mounting is what drew me to this product, and it didn't disappoint!

Realtruck's customer service and shipping were absolutely the best! quick and responsive, arrived 2 days prior to the scheduled delivery date!

 The bed extender is great! The only negetive would be the toggels that hold the screws to the tailgate, if your not careful they fall into the inside of the tailgate.
