Unlike traditional rubber mud flaps, the Towtector Brushstrip Shield will not flap in the wind at highway speeds, ensuring you have the most effective protection when you need it most. The frame of the Towtector rock guard is constructed of 1 1/2 square tubing with a powder coat finish. It is available in a 78" wide model to fit most passenger vehicles as well as a 96" model to fit campers and RV's. It also allows electrical hookups to slide through the brushes for easy hookups. The Towtector Brushstrip Shield comes with a wall mount that allows for easy storage while not in use. The optional Shinsaver works great while towing gooseneck or fifth wheel trailers. - Double Brushstrips: Double brushstrips are twice as thick giving twice the protection.
- Steel Frame: 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 14 guage steel tubing offers a strong frame to support the Towtector Shield while the support plate is constructed of 1/4" thick steel.
- Reciever Mount: The Towtector rock guard mounts to any 2" reciever hitch ball mount or tow bar. Please note that the ball mount hitch must be at least 10 1/4" long to accomodate the Towtector.
- Power Coat Finish: All metal parts of the Towtector Shield are protected by a tough black powder coat finish to help protect against rock chips and other flying debri. The powder coat also prevents the Towtector's finish from rust or corrosion caused by salts and other items spread on the roadway.
- 5/16" Support Bar: The Towtector Shield features a patented support bar the aids in holding the brushstrips in place at high speeds. This ensures the brushes remain in a verticle position, providing maximum protection when your towed objects are most vulnerable to damage.
- Custom Fit: The Towtector is available in a 78" wide model to fit all passenger vehicles as well as a 96" model to work with RV's. The Towtector also offers several brushstrip lengths to provide the perfect fit for vehicles of any height.

- Shinsaver: The Shinsaver is available as an alternative to bruised shins from bumping and walking into traditional hitch ball mounts. It is designed to be used while towing a goosneck or 5th wheel trailer, or any other time towing with a reciever hitch is not needed. The Shinsaver offers a more attracive, flat mount and will work with any 2" reciever hitch.
Towtector Shield Towing Mud Flaps/ Brushstrip Protector Customer Reviews
Manufacturer InformationDan and Phil Schiebout are brothers from Iowa who have spent many hours creating and improving products that make life a little easier for them and others. They grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa, so they have had a lot of experience in fixing and redoing. They both have other businesses and are committed to working hard and being successful. About 5 years ago they both had newer boats and decided to go fishing on the Missouri River. On their way to their destination, they ran into some road repair. Workers had just put down fresh oil and rock on the road and needless to say, their boats took the brunt of the construction. When they got home, they where both very angry at what damage was on their investment and decided they needed to do something to protect their boats. They both have a sense of inventing and creating because of their farm background. They put their heads together and scrounged materials they had and after many changes and much testing, they came up with the idea of the Towtector. They knew that their mud flaps where not doing the job because a lot of the road debris came between the wheels. They needed something that would span the full width of their towing vehicle and not blow in the wind when they where going down the highway at a high speeds. They also wanted something they could remove when they where not towing. Soon they had people asking about the Towtector they had on their vehicles and wanted to know if they could have one also. The interest in the product made them realize that their invention was something they should have patented. After 4 years of changing and perfecting, the Towtector has been successful throughout the U.S., Canada, and Australia.View all Towtector Shield Inc. products View available Products for this Product Line |
