How does the TracRac system mount?
|
The base rails mount into the stake pockets of your truck with rubber expansion blocks. The base rails need to be bolted to the side rail (on trucks with no stake pockets)
Overhead racks slide onto tracks of base rails.

Trac one truck rack was really great...easy to put together, One person job about 40 minutes and the help line with Real Trucks.com was terrific and also the Manufacturer was nice to deal with on questions that I had on extras you can order...I will use real trucks again

Awesome product. Very easy to install and solid once in place. The bars were much bigger in diameter than what I had thought from the pictures, which makes it look really nice. My wife was also pleased in the appearance of the rack, she thought it would be some cheesy thing, but she digs it. Jeffery B, I think they got your message about the rubber wear strips, cause mine came with all four. I'm not sure about the tie downs, they are plastic and time will tell how they maintain durability sitting in the hot AZ sun, but for now they seem strong enough.
Installation was on a '08 Silverado 1500. Piece of cake.
