DescriptionTrue Flow Sealed Air Intake Systems are a unique departure from traditional air intake systems. The factory air box is left intact keeping the airflow cooler while protecting the filter from debris and moisture. The factory filter is replaced with one of our foam, high flow, lifetime filters. Finally we eliminate the factory air tube, which can have restrictive mufflers or resonators and replace them with our high flow, powder coated mandrel tubes and reinforced silicone couplers to maximize velocity. Retains Factory Airbox: Keeps out hot engine air. Gets cold air from wheel well and protects filter and Keeps all factory hoses and sensors· Proven Performance Gains: Dyno Tested to produce +15 HP on a Ford, 13 HP on a GM, 9.9 HP on a RSX-S· Simple no modification installation: Installation in 20 minutes or less. Installation instructions are clear-cut.· Lifetime, Washable and Reusable Foam Filter: Offers great filtration - filters down to 3 microns. Air Flow is better than a gauze filter even when the True Flow foam filter is dirty. Plus it is easier to service than gauze. System includes foam filter, high quality mandrel bent steel tube, nylon reinforce silicone couplers and stainless steel worm clamps· 50 State/ Canada Legal (C.A.R.B. Approved) with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. The Concept and How the True Flow Air Intake Systems work: Ever since the invention of cars, there have been people trying to improve performance. Modifying the air intake system to increase airflow is one way to improve. A properly designed air intake increases the airflow to the engine so that it combusts fuel more effectively. Up until now, replacing the factory air box with an open element air filter system was your only alternative.Though open element air filter systems are effective for increasing airflow they have a few large flaws. First of all, open element air filters tend to make noise, (this of course is not a drawback to those who subscribe to the louder is better school of driving). Second, air boxes are designed to protect your engine from debris. Open element filter systems expose your filter and your engine to dirt and moisture. About True Flow Foam Filters: True Flow Air Filters are more than 12 times thicker than the competitor's gauze or paper filters, giving foam filters superior filtration and overall airflow. Foam filters are constructed of tiny interlocking cells that distribute and trap dirt particles throughout the entire volume of the foam. This design creates superior dirt-holding capacity and higher particle filtration than gauze filters, which can only stop airborne dirt particles on the filter surface. As your True Flow foam filter gets dirtier, it actually flows more air than a gauze filter - giving you improved performance and more horsepower.
True Flow stops more dirt due to its superior foam technology. Foam has been used for years in off road applications such as motorcycles, ATVs and Off-Road race vehicles. True Flow developed an air filter using fully reticulated foam cells and specially formulated tackifier that create an impossible journey for dirt particles to enter your engine. More dirt in your engine means lower performance, lower gas mileage, and engine wear. See True Flow's legendary performance and protection capabilities by watching the True Flow Air Filter Test. The test proves that True Flow stops more dirt, while performance gauze and paper filters let more dirt get through to your engine.
True Flow delivers better air flow because it doesn't clog. The EPA has estimated that a dirty filter can cause a 10% decrease in fuel efficiency. Because performance gauze and paper filters are only 1/16 of an inch thick, the minute you start driving they get dirty, start to clog and restrict air flow causing a loss in performance. True Flow doesn't clog because its reticulated foam construction is 16 times thicker than performance gauze or paper. Reticulated foam allows air to flow around the captured dirt. Unlike filters, True Flow provides great airflow even when it gets dirty. True Flow is easy to install, is washable and reusable, and will not void the factory warranty.

Product went on very easily and should work great. I believe that the foam filters offer better protection than the k&n style filters.

3/5 for TF-40501 - True Flow Sealed Air Intake System
Posted By:Jorge L. (San Ysidro, CA) on 06/2009
The product work perfect...actually I get more GPM then before...but my problem was that the kit was incomplete, the kit were missing a T vacuum and the 1/2 house was to short and incorrect. the hose was short by 1.5" - 2" aprox, and was incorrect because the intake system is 1/2" but the other side (motor) is smaller diameter so this fit on the intake system but is loose on the motor...for this is need to buy a vacuum T and a new house..that is why I give 3 of 5

3/5 for TF-40501 - True Flow Sealed Air Intake System
Posted By:Mike S. (Asheville, NC) on 06/2009
I installed the True Flow intake on my 2006 Tundra with no problems. It took 20-30 minutes to complete with only simple hand tools required. I haven't noticed any significant fuel or performance gains, but it does look sweet under the hood. Exhaust is next, and hopefully I will see some minor improvements then. RealTruck had a great deal on this intake kit, and their customer service was great.
Thanks, Mike Stewart

I've got an 2005 F-150, with leveling kit and 35X12.50's. Being this is the first air intake i've ever used I feel that it is pretty good. i haven't seen any major increase in performance but my gas milage did inprove by about two miles to the gallon hwy. I didn't notice any change in the sound, The intake install was fairly simple taking less then an hour. And it seems to do just as good as my friend's K&N and it was half the cost.

Work's great but doesn't look good. The one for the 96-99 Tahoe are just two silicon pieces and a foam air filter. Once installed it looks like it is a homemade cold air intake. But it works good. I noticed my truck ran better after I installed it.

5/5 for TF-20501 - True Flow Sealed Air Intake System
Posted By:James C. (Wichita Falls, TX) on 12/2008
I ordered the True Flow Sealed Air Intake System on line and within four days it was delivered to my front door. It took me about 45 minutes to remove the oem intake and filter, on my 2008 Ford F-150, and replace it with the new True Flow system. Truck sounds like a truck now and it appears to have more power. I'm still driving on the same tank of gasoline, so I haven't check the miles per gallon yet.
The True Flow Sealed Air Intake System is everything Real Truck said it would be.

I purchased the True Flow Sealed Air Intake System for my 2005 F150. After receiving the equipment and a quick review of the instructions I had the items installed in less than an hour. When I turned the switch I could immediately tell that the truck was "breathing" as it should be as opposed to the factory intake system. With the Magnaflow exhaust it sounds just AWESOME! If you are looking for a nice set-up, this is the one!! ART
