How can I improve the seal of my tonneau cover?
Although no tonneau cover is completely waterproof, the Original TruXedoŽ tonneau cover will help to keep rain, snow, and dust out of the bed of your truck. Since different types of bed liners and bed rails may affect how the tonneau fits at the front of the bed, each kit includes two small pieces of weather seal. This weather seal can then be fitted into the front corners of the truck bed, further helping to keep elements out of the bed.

How do I care for my vinyl tonneau cover?
The vinyl fabric on your tonneau cover can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and may be hand washed or safely cleaned in the car wash of your choice. Thoroughly rinse cover to remove any soap residue. Vinyl cover can be treated with any vinyl protectants made for tonneau covers. Never clean cover with petroleum or citrus-based products, and avoid silicone based protectants. Some examples of good products to use on your vinyl cover are 303Products, Mothers brand products, and Meguiar?s products.

How do I adjust the tension on my tonneau cover?
The Original TruXedoŽ tonneau cover has automatic tension control. There are two spring loaded steel plungers at the front of the bed that maintain constant tension on the front header, allowing the cover to stay tight in any weather. Initially, you need to set the tension. This should be done during the warmest part of the day by closing the cover, releasing the VelcroŽ brand fasteners from both sides near the cab, and checking compression of the spring plungers against the front header. Roll cover open to make adjustments. Repeat until satisfactory tension is achieved.

Will the Original TruXedoŽ work with my other truck accessories?
Yes! The unique inside mount design of the Original TruXedoŽ rails enables you to accessorize with most bed rails, bed liners, and rail caps.

Can I lock the Original TruXedoŽ?
The Original TruXedoŽ secures automatically when latched at the rear, and can be locked when used with a locking tailgate. It can not be opened until the tailgate is unlocked and opened. There are no additional locks or sliding mechanisms needed to lock the cover.

Will the Original TruXedoŽ work in the winter as well as in the summer?
The tonneau cover fabric will not shrink in cold temperatures, to ?40 degrees F. Patented automatic tension control system keeps the cover tight whether it is 40 degrees below or 120 degrees above.

Will the Original TruXedoŽ work with a 5th wheel?
Yes! Simply roll the cover all the way open and secure with security straps at the front of the bed. This allows you full access to your 5th wheel.

Can I still open my tailgate with the Original TruXedoŽ on my truck?
Yes ? the Original TruXedoŽ does not restrict the tailgate. The rear header functions independently of the tailgate so there is nothing to remove when opening the tailgate.

Does the Original TruXedoŽ come in different colors?
The Original TruXedoŽ is available in seven popular colors including Black, Navy Blue, Forest Green, Buckskin, Burgundy, White, and Charcoal Grey. We recommend that you call a Real Sales Associate at 877-216-5446 to have a color sample of the fabric sent to you before ordering.

I have a bed extender. Will the TruXedoŽ work with it?
The Original TruXedoŽ side rails extend into the bed on each side 2 3/4". In order to use the bed extender, it must not come within 3" of the side of the bed when rotated, or it must be able to detach from the truck, be manually rotated and re-attached.

I have a truck with a utility track system in the bed. Can I still use an Original TruXedoŽ?
Many of the late-model trucks have a utility track system to make the truck bed more accessory and user-friendly. We research all of the new trucks to make sure we have the best hardware to attach the Original TruXedoŽ to the truck. The hardware kits for these beds include modified clamps that will work with the various utility track systems. I live in a region that is very hot. Will the Original TruXedoŽ fabric fade in the sun?
The fabric used in the Original TruXedoŽ is very high quality and has been tested in extreme conditions. It is UV-protected and will not fade in the sun.

I live in a region that gets a lot of heavy snow. Can the Original TruXedoŽ hold the snow without bending or stretching?
The fabric used in the Original TruXedoŽ is very high quality and has been tested in extreme conditions. It can hold up to 350 pounds without stretching the fabric.

I  would like to install the Original TruXedoŽ myself. How long will it take to install it myself?
Typically, the Original TruXedoŽ can be installed easily in about 15-20 minutes. It requires a 9/16" wrench to tighten the 6 clamps that attach the side rails to the inside of the truck bed and a flathead screwdriver to adjust the tension control plungers.
