Description
The US Rack Truck Topper Canopy Rack is designed to safely carry up to 250 lbs of cargo on truck toppers. The camper shell truck rack fits any canopy that is at least 52 inches long and has a generally flat roof. The sturdy side rails easily secure cargo, and metal loops integrated into the rails make tying cargo down efficient and easy. The mounting feet are adjustable to allow users to properly position them during installation. Some drilling is required to install the mounting feet, but the rack frame may be mounted or removed in one piece in less than 5 minutes. Rubber gasket pads under the mounting feet prevent moisture or dust leakage into the canopy. The U.S Rack Truck Topper Canopy Rack has a maximum distributed load capacity of 250 pounds, however it is not recommended to exceed the topper cap's maximum load rating.

The canopy rack was what I was looking for, the quality is acceptable and ease of installation went fine. With the exception of the 4 bolts missing to secure the canopy rack to the mounting brackets. This situation created an extra trip to the store.

The installation was fairly easy, although I did have to use a ratchet tye-down to square up the rack prior to fastening. Also, I'm just a little disappointed that it doesn't have greater separation off the canopy lid. Adjustments have had to be made to accomodate the load that I carry (a Canoe), but overall its function is great. The design is sleek and not cumbersome like other racks which was the primary attraction for me. I would recommend this canopy rack to anyone who will be transporting long or awkward loads such as a canoe or extension ladders to everyone.

Good strong product. Heavy duty steel. Didn't take long to assemble. Only issue I had was that the stainless steel bolts that came with the rack were not long enough to go though the fiberglass cap on my truck. They were only 1 1/2". I had to go buy new 2" bolts. Other than that. It's a great deal.
Also, this rack is 5 feet long. If you have a 6 foot bed, and 6 feet of space on the roof of your cap, consider buying the 72" long rack. As mine is now, I have over 6" of space both in the front and rear of the rack, it being centered on the cap. Buying the 72" might be worth the extra money if you carry a lot of longer stuff, and/or would be annoyed by seeing unused roof space by the rack.
