Just installed the chrome bull bar on my 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn. It is definitely an eye catcher. It was worth every penny. It gives any vehicle a tough look about it. The only complaint I have are the instructions on the installation guide. The pictures in the guide are black and white and they don't show much detail as to how the installation should follow. But once I got under the truck and actually saw how the mounting brackets and nuts/bolts go, it was pretty simple. The one thing when it comes to the Ram trucks is the plastic shroud just below the bumper. 2 openings have to be cut into the hard plastic in order for the brackets and bull bar to secure to one another, so it is definitely best to remove it in order to cut the openings before installing the brackets and bull bar. But other than that I am very pleased with the product. Shipping was quick and was deliverd right on time. This bar is a must for any truck.

The Westin Bull Bar came in one day before the promised shipping date. I ordered them late on Friday. They were in on Thursday. The directions were short and to the point, and the drawing was very helpful. Two of the three nuts on each side that bolt the bumper support to the frame had to be removed. The nuts on the passenger side were easier to get to from the top. I opened the hood and was able to get to these two nuts by reaching down between the radiator and the grill. Also, when I was reaching up from below while replacing these bumper-to frame nuts on either side, I was able to get a longer stroke on the ratchet and more leverage with the handle of the ratchet pointing up. I was able to reach between the radiator and the bumper, and there is a gap in the wheel well liner that will give you access on the driver side nuts. It is a tight fit with the brackets in place. The bull bar brackets fit over the two bumper-to-frame studs, and the factory nuts are replaced. The bull bar brackets take up some of the room, leaving less room to tighten these nuts. This is when I realized I could reach the nuts on the passenger side from under the hood. I did NOT have to remove the original skid plate and did NOT have to remove the toe hook. The skid plate is not in the way while installing the bull bar. I ordered from REALTRUCK based on so many positive reviews and on the lowest price. I bought the bull bar for looks. I don't plan on pushing any bulls around. I am a math teacher and have only a small amount of mechanical ability. It took an hour and 20 minutes, and this was with no help. A second pair of hands would have helped while bolting the bull bar to the brackets. Having a helper might have shaved 5 minutes off the total time.

Looks and fits great. Black Bar looks perfect on Black F250. Stainless skid plate is nice touch. Added a pair of Pella lights and hooked up to aux switches nice touch. Definetly buy the license plate relocator and install first.
