Description

Westin’s Safari Light Bars transforms your vehicle by adding a tough, rugged look that doesn’t overpower compact, midsize trucks and SUV’s. The westin automotive safari lite bars are manufactured from 2” diameter tubing and equipped with light tabs for Driving Lights. The fully welded safari light bar is a 1-piece construction and bolts on quickly and easily with no vehicle modifications on most applications. The Safari Light Bar is available in a chrome plated stainless steel or a black powdercoat finish. With Westin’s extra front end protection your vehicles good looks will surely shine through.

Fits the Xterra well, but the light bar is not heavy duty. The mounting plates fit well to the truck's existing bumper brackets and are very heavy duty, but the internal threads on the light bar itself bent and distorted on both sides when it was tightened onto the mounting plate......very disappointing! RealTruck.com was awesome and sent a replacement light bar. On the replacement light bar I put spacers between the internal screw plates and the mounting brackets to prevent the soft internal screw plate from bending again. Bottom line: this product works for holding lights, but the light bar's tubular metal is thin (made in China) and its internal female bolt mounts are made from soft metal - be very careful when tightening them. It's really too bad Westin doesn't make this light bar heavier, I would absolutely have paid more for a better made version.

Easy to install. Looks good on truck. Picture of mounting brackets on installation sheet appear to be backwards.

Turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Easy instillation, looks great, and affordable. It is not made for protection of the truck, but it holds driving lights just fine.

Bar fits in factory mounting holes however didnt like the idea that the instructions tell you to discard the factory underguard (the plastic cover under the engine/trans) I made a couple cuts to allow me to remount this guard to keep lessen the exposure of the bottom of the engine to the elements.

Additionally, the driving light tabs only provide enough clearance for a smaller set of lights.
