The mounting brackets were extremely heavy and matched-up perfectly with the truck, but the quality of the light bar was disappointing. The mounting brackets welded inside the light bar were soft metal and bent when I tightened the light bar to the bumper mounted brackets (torque wrench set below setting stipulated on the instructions). In fact, when the flimsy inside brackets bent they actually distorted the tubing of the light bar to which they were welded. RealTruck customer service was absolutely awesome and sent a replacement light bar with a call-tag for the original. When I installed the replacement I stacked galvanized washers inside of the light bar (ran mounting bolt through them)to take up the space between the inside mounting plate and the flat surface of the bumper brackets. This prevented the soft metal bracket from bending because it was tightened against the metal washers and had no room to bend.
I don't understand why Westin doesn't use heavier material and why they put the brackets so far inside the light bar. At the very minimum, they should use a solid metal spacer to fill the gap between the inside brackets and the surface of the bumper mounted brackets. It is unfortunate because the light bar is well made otherwise.
Bottom line: if you install one of these spend a couple bucks on galvanized washers and be very careful when applying the 30fp of torque to the mounting bolts. On the new light bar I gently hand tightened the bolts and it is working well.
Note: The Westin driving lights, included as part of a mail-in promo on this light bar, are really nice quality.

Fits the Xterra well, but the light bar is not heavy duty. The mounting plates fit well to the truck's existing bumper brackets and are very heavy duty, but the internal threads on the light bar itself bent and distorted on both sides when it was tightened onto the mounting plate......very disappointing! RealTruck.com was awesome and sent a replacement light bar. On the replacement light bar I put spacers between the internal screw plates and the mounting brackets to prevent the soft internal screw plate from bending again. Bottom line: this product works for holding lights, but the light bar's tubular metal is thin (made in China) and its internal female bolt mounts are made from soft metal - be very careful when tightening them. It's really too bad Westin doesn't make this light bar heavier, I would absolutely have paid more for a better made version.
