Reaching into your truck's cargo area to reach for your toolbox can often be an arduous task. Truck beds can take some effort to climb over and into in order to grab the things you need, and it isn't always the safest thing to do, either. We've all had situations where we've overreached and tripped or fell. Those concerns can all be taken care of though with a new Carr polished aluminum truck box step!
The Carr polished aluminum truck box step is made in the USA and constructed from high quality die-cast aluminum to give you a sturdy stepping area. It can be mounted to either side of your truck's frame, and is easy to install. It provides the step up you need to get to your things without requiring you to awkwardly lean over the side of the bed, offering a double shot of added safety and convenience. When it's not in use, the bedside step swings neatly underneath the truck bed and locks securely into place.
Carr polished aluminum truck box steps are corrosion resistant and made to withstand harsh conditions and inclement weather. All three options look great and you're sure to find one that suits your tastes and truck perfectly. They're rugged enough to look tough, but sharply designed enough to add a nice extra touch to your pickup's aesthetics.
Combining all-American construction and top quality appearances, the Carr polished aluminum truck box step is the ideal solution to take the trouble out of accessing your truck's bed. Please note they are sold individually; if you need one for each side of your bed, please order two. If you need a bedside step for your truck, this unique option is in the top of its class.

After many hours of installation on the Passenger side I have figured it out and the Driver side went on in 75% less time, now I am ready for anything. This part looks good on the truck, it is sturdy, does the job intended, my truck is getting better each piece I put on, thanks Real Truck. Still need better directions and two different direction one for each side.

I ordered this product in hopes that it would fulfill my needs. This product was very difficult to put on because the directions were not detailed enough, please consider reading them again and modify them a bit more. I did get one side on after many hours of installation. The problem I had is how did the parts fit, directions were not detailed enough, I actually put one part on backwards. After I got the part installed I looked back and now it makes sense. It does look good on the truck, the wife likes it so I am good with it, I was hoping it would be hidden a little more, but it is doing the job and it is a keeper.
This the second one I've purchased. I put the first on the right hand side. They're really solid. One the driver's side of my 2012 Ford 250 XLT Super Duty, I had to refabricate the mountings. There is a plastic shielding in the way, but I drilled and cut and used the bolt holes in what appears to be a steel protection loop/guard for the fuel tank. I love the step, but for $135, Carr could make the mounting piece to fit. Or at least point out that you can't just mount it on the frame on the driver's side as one can on the rider's side.
The step works great and is highly durable. It give immediate access to the box if you are reaching for tools or fencing equipment. On the 2012 Ford Super Duty 250, there is some plastic shielding on the outside of the frame on the driver's side, so for now I have it mounted on the right hand side. When it warms up a little, I'll probably order a second one for the driver's side, but I'll have to dismount/cut the shielding, which is both bolted and pop-rivited. In the meantime, I'm very happy with the product.
The steps look great and work sufficiently. The location of the steps for each side of the truck (2011 F250 Super Duty XLT) had to be exact with no latitude for placement. Also the fuel tank guard had to be removed and a piece cut out before the step could be installed on the drivers side. Overall I am pleased with the product.
