It is constructed from a heavier denier thread for maximum UV opacity that is developed primarily for intense sun environments and long-term storage. Approximately 40% heavier than WeatherShield HP, the 300 denier fiber construction results in almost double the tear and tensile strength, finished with the same great EPIC® by Nextec encapsulation process.
Covercraft partnered with Nextec Applications, inc., a technology leader that pioneered a new process for creating performance fabrics used primarily in the outdoor clothing industry. Through precise polymer placement and special chemistries, they were able to place protective finishes inside the fabric, encapsulating the actual woven fibers to transform ordinary fabric into extra-ordinary! Covercraft created what is considered the "Perfect" fabric for outdoor or indoor vehicle protection. EPIC® by Nextec's encapsulation process delivers all-weather protection, compact packability, easy-care, and a soft-to-paint touch without sacrificing breathability. It will shed most water and help prevent dust, dirt, bird droppings and tree sap from reaching the vehicle’s surface. The breathable properties of the fabric assure that any heat, moisture or condensation under the cover can easily escape.
The Covercraft WeatherShield HD Car Cover is custom fit to your exact vehicle. Each cover will have built-in urethane elastic that is sewn into the front and rear hems for easy installation. At the bottom of the cover, there will be reinforced non-scratch grommets to protect your paint. The fabric used is a durable, solution dyed material that is UV and fade resistant. It can be easily stored in your trunk and is even machine washable for easy cleaning.
