The Extang Express tonneau cover is a soft roll-top style bed cover that offers fast truck bed access along with unique features to add value to any pickup truck! Extang Express tonneau covers are very durable, sleek and can be opened or closed in seconds.
They are designed with support rods fastened directly to the vinyl. The cover & bows all roll up together, quickly, giving you full access to your cargo box for grabbing gear or hauling large items. This tonneau is one of the fastest opening covers on the market.
The Velcro seamless sealing system is sewn directly to the tarp, keeping out all moisture and debris from entering your truck bed and destroying your cargo. Plus, since in mounts to the top of your cargo box rails, your stake pocket holes are covered if your bed has them and you get more hauling capacity as the cover frame is on top of your cargo box rails, so it doesn't take up any space side to side when the tonno is rolled up.
The Extang Express tonneau cover features an aluminum frame that is heavy duty and will withstand any abuse you have in store. In addition, Express truck covers from Extang feature an automatic tensioning system, keeping the cover tight and looking great.
When it comes to the ever popular Extang Express, you get everything you're looking for in a tonno including all the above as well as improved aerodynamics. This amazing tonneau truck cover stops naturally occurring wind resistance, improving aerodynamics and ultimately saving you money.
So what are you waiting for? Get your truck bed the perfect companion right here at RealTruck!

|I have an 8' box. Originally, I bought a tri-fold type but could not live with how huge it was when folded. So, I exchanged for this because I needed full access to the bed but was tired of fighting to stretch and snap the tarp on the traditional roll-up tonneaus I had before. The concept is great and it's definitely a higher end unit, but you need to know some stuff....|
1 - it does NOT fit if you have the factory provided plastic bedrail covers. I ended up setting up a router and a jig and milling off the part of the bedrail cover that drops down over the vertical surface of the rails. I HAD to do this or else the tonno frame was 1/2"too wide to install on the truck. That added about 3 hours to the install. I'm guessing few of you want to be milling off parts of your nice new truck. Don't buy this if you are running bed rail protectors.
2- I took it thru the carwash for the 1st time today and the dryer ( admitted very strong) blew it open. The velcro on the sides was not strong enough to keep it closed. Yes, I did go all around and seal it up good before entering the wash, like the instructions said. It did not help. There is an area near the back where some diagonal straps connect the last cross bow to the tail cross member. This area does not seal down well. That's where the wind got in and caused the tarp to fly up off the frame.
3 - The seal on the front cross rail is not adequate. On the newer GM HD trucks, the front edge of the bed sits lower than the 2 side rails. The front rail seal is not forgiving enough to close up this gap. You will have to fasten some foam on the front lip of the bed or otherwise fill the gap. Today I looked at a Truxedo branded unit that was similar. It was about $50 less at my local rustproofer/detailer store. I guess I would try that next time.
Great service and prices from RT, but buying these products sight unseen has caused me a lot of hassle. You might be smarter to get this type of thing from a local source where you can see/touch it first and where they can ensure it's going to fit right.
