Ease of Installation
I am pleased with the product so far, I have not been able to use the plow as we have not had any snow. I will up date on actual performance later on. I will comment on finish, fit and construction. on a scale of 1-10 I will give the paint finish a 9 because there are a few places missing paint which I will touch up ( no problems with that) The fit of the 88" plow on a Chevy 1500 seems perfect, just right for a stock z71 half ton truck, the truck side mount went on very well with all the supplied hardware, I like how it mounted just below the front fascia with out cutting or altering of any sort. I would also like to say that the wiring was easy to install and place under the hood. I give the construction a 8.5 of 10, there were a few things that could be moved for better function, I have to take out the rear support foot for storage before I install on my truck I am afraid if I don't it will rub on the ground and I will ruin it, it sits to close to the bumper to move it up all of the way. The frame and plow were in my opinion well made and heavier than I anticipated. The only real problem I have is that I don't want to splice into the head light wiring of my truck to install lights, so I bought a longer chain for travel feature and dropped the plow down enough to see my head lights and turn signals. I would recommend the MFG have a product available to suit this need. I feel that if you use your head and are not hard not stuff this plow should last. As I said once I get some snow I will update on how it handles a northern Minnesota winter.
