|It would be easyer if spring u nuts were supplied ,to bolt thourgh the predrilled holes on the chevy extened cab. If you remove the plastic plugs installed on the inner rocker pannels, you can then slide these spring u nuts into the predrilled holes. Which I purchased from Lowes.|

|Mounting brackets, kind of flimsy and weak.|

Easy to install. Look OK on a fleet, work-a-day truck.
Even with my 275 pound full figure 'Dad bod' they feel sturdy.
1. As expensive as the bolt kit is- Approx $90 for 8 "L" shape lightweight channel steel brackets and 24 or so nuts & bolts that need to be 1/4" longer, and 3/8" dia instead of 5/16s of a inch.
2. These mount on the sheet metal rocker panel under the door, not the truck's frame. If I'd known that earlier, I'd have gotten frame mounted ones.
3. The end caps look like they are supposed to fit the body lines of something, just not any vehicle I've ever seen.
They are sturdy, at least until the rocker panel starts to rust out. However; in the DFW area, that's not too big of a problem.
I put these on a '06 F-250 Super duty. The end caps make it look like I found and installed some running boards from the local wrecking yard.
For my application, its no big deal. But; if you plan to put these on a $50,000 Silverado or Lariat, a fancy 'city truck', or some custom/restoration project, I think you'll be disappointed in the apperance.
