I got these step to replace some no name tubular steps on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 quad cab, that had rusted through. I received the steps quickly although the box had been beaten up pretty good one of the steps was about to poke through the box. The steps were largely undamaged except for two small scratches at the end of the one step at the end of the damaged box. Not a big deal really minor but some more packing materials at the end would have helped.
I went to install the steps and the directions were reasonably clear. I did notice some of the nuts were nylon lock nuts vs. a standard nut with a lock washer as the instructions had specified. This did make it difficult to start the nuts on the flange bolts that go in the slotted holes in the body. Also two of the brackets were mis-labeled i.e. driver's side was the passenger's side. Again not a big deal once you look a the instructions and the photos.
Now that they are installed they look great the finish seems durable and the ends are welded closed so my hope is this will prevent them from rusting from the inside out as my previous steps had done. They seem to hold up well to me getting in and out without much bowing or movement I'm about 240-250 lbs. The step pads are nice and wide and provide adequate grip although I haven't had them long enough to know how slick they would get with snow or ice. I would guess they would be no better or worse than any other step of this kind with a plastic step pad area.
Overall I'm very happy, they look great, and the price couldn't be beat. I hope to get a lot of use out of them for years to come!

I bought these not wanting to sacrifice quality over affordability. I was not disappointed on either side. Theses were extremely easy to install and look great on the truck. There are study and were exactly what I was looking for. Any troubles installing these on the 2016 CM are probably user error. I recommend starting all bolts prior to tightening down, it will ensure bars line up as required. I did it that way as it's normal for me as an aircraft mechanic. Worked like a dream.

I was looking for sidebars nicer than the ones the dealer installs. These are great looking and have a high quality finish. The hardware is silver and gold colored and is noticeable after they are installed from street level also some of the side braces were mislabeled for my application which is a 2016 Ram Laramie crew cab truck. I came up short on some of the hardware and found that I had put smaller bolts where I should have put larger ones, labeling or color coding the hardware would help. Overall very nice!
