At noon on February 11th, a very different type of movement is about to begin. Patrick Heelen, an Alta Vista, Kansas resident is calling it a ‘Good Samaritan Movement.’ What it really amounts to is his plan to pay it forward. He had been rescued by a group of strangers after being injured in a one-car wreck back in December.
Heelen was on vacation with family at the Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont when his car skid off a back road near the resort. He was alone at the time. So alone, in fact that while the accident occurred at 1am, there were no other drivers on the road. Heelen was also without his cell phone. Read the rest of this entry »

Ads are probably the draw for about 50% of the Super Bowl viewing audience. Each year, brands bring their best to the event to capture your attention and either make you laugh, make you cry or, in some cases, make you cringe.
We’ve taken a few moments to gather some of this year’s pre-leaked spots we feel are winners. Chosen mainly on their quality to stand out and differentiate from the run of the mill shock and awe tactics normally seen.
And, shamefully, we also chose these ads based on their ability to make us laugh. Read the rest of this entry »

The best presents are surprises. Unexpected and sometimes out of the blue. Susan Bolen, who owns MamaBearsAttic.com, recently ordered a set of Bully Aluminum Side Steps from us. During a routine review email, she went the extra mile and sent us some photos of her 2004 Ford Excursion. The installation appeared to be perfect and we wanted to know more about her rose colored ride.
Here are Susan’s stats on her SUV: Read the rest of this entry »

A class ring representing your high school days can be a treasured possession. It encapsulates years of learning and tom foolery. It’s a physical reminder of firsts – loves, cars, jobs and responsibilities. To Dr. Sue Szabo it was something she had lost 30 years ago while she was a student at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She had accidentally left it in the bathroom of the dormitory, never to be seen again.
That is until Cyndie Kindell of Warren, Rhode Island found it in a box of Christmas paraphernalia she purchased at a rummage sale. Surprised and intrigued by the find, she delved into the mystery of the possible owner. Svabo’s name was engraved on the ring, as well as the name of the high school. Add the year and she had a great starting point. Read the rest of this entry »

Gravity appears to be taking a break in this neighborhood.
The video quality on our first Tire Fire contestant (vote for your favorite at the bottom of this page) isn’t great, but the action is pretty awesome. We’re pretty certain OSHA has restrictions against the methods this operator is using to load his Bobcat onto the truck.
Our theory? He’s just plain lazy and didn’t want to get out of the cab and set up the ramp. But in all honesty, he gets major points from us for creativity and execution. Read the rest of this entry »

George's 2010 Toyota Tacoma
It’s a symbiotic relationship when you think about it. We like to sell awesome truck accessories to our customers (shipped free, of course) and they like to upgrade their rides. We absolutely love it when they send us photos of the fruits of their labor.
Check out George F’s 2010 Toyota Tacoma. He says it’s a work in progress, but we’re already liking the results. Read the rest of this entry »

Didn’t get to go to SEMA last year? Don’t cry all over your hood. You can still partake in all the glory by checking out their online photo gallery. Here’s a search dedicated to over 300 different Ford vehicles that attended this year’s festivities.
Ah… can you smell the exhaust? Hear the engines? Feel the rumble? That was your stomach? Sorry, my bad.
Ford lovers, take note… this is probably one of the best car shows in the nation where your brand is represented in force. Start clickin’! Throw some links to your favorite rides in the comments.
