This is a very simple, but effective, mechanism. It goes in easily, latches in place both in or out, and allows this old guy to step up in my truck bed, even with bad knees. And, compared to other steps, it's a steal!

This beats the heck out of a milkcrate, and is much safer. I bought this for my newer dedicated camper truck. The GF was skeptical about how small the step surface was, as she previously suffered a broken ankle. But after getting in and out of the camper with the hitch step, she's sold. If the shipping to Alaska wasn't so ridiculous for these, my other trucks would have them too.

Very good product, works well and would and have recomended to others.
Neg. could fit receiver closer and stop rattle, could be longer so the different angles would be more usefull.
But it works for me,

this tailgate hitch step is one of the best add on products that I have found---- very well made--- very strong---very attractive and worth at least twice what it cost.. would be a bargain at $100.00--- cost about $50.00---every truck in our fleet will have one of these-----
