Worked out well but was neccesary to add some aditional rivets to secure the rap around portion at the top of the gate. This was a industial application and might not be neccasary for all.

protector is lighter weight than expected,had one on my 89' truck twice as heavy. Mounting questionable,screw in tailgate not long enough,to get sticky tape to hold had to take off spray on linner.Time will tell if it holds up.

This product instructions are lacking. Need to say leave tail gate cap on and use a rubber hammer to pound it down in place.

I ordered the tail gate protector hoping to fix the catching plate on my Ford F-150 (the steel plate covering the latch assembly that always curls up and catches everything being slid accross it). Shipping was quick, opened the box and was impressed with the looks but upon test fitting it was greatly disappointed. the bottom of the "protector" was about 3" short of the bottom of the tail gate which would create another catch point. Was hoping the "protector" would have reached over the top and bottom of the tail gate not only the top. Waste of money if you work with your truck, bought a 4X8 sheet of diamond plate aluminum at a local steel shop and built my own the way the one I paid too much for should have been built.Real truck.com was great with the return though, no hard feelings there. Deezee needs to do some research on thier products.
