Install was easy and looks great. Only disadvantage was had to remove the air deflector on top of hood. Can't wait till winter to use the cover. Diesels are a cold lot.....
My old one was getting wore out, this new one fit perfect, snaps lined up,and looks great
I ordered the screen bug protector, and i love it!...so i decided to order the winter one as well. the winter snaps do not line up with the summer bug snaps...horrible design!..and this is not the first time ive seen this....something needs to change..if your going to buy both..the snaps should fit both!
Grill cover is still in the package, it took so long to get it the real cold weather has passed. will try next year.
If they had put the little windows in the front about 4" higher you could open the hood without having to unsnap the top.
I ordered this item a few weeks before christmas as a gift, however it arrived after new years. No problems or complaints with the product.
This is my 5th Fia Grille Cover, the previous 4 were on Super Duty's. They fit perfect, but the fit on my Titan was to say the least a bit odd. The location of the snaps causes the cover to fit sloppy over the grille and the winter cover snaps are not lined up with the bug screen. We are talking about 1/32 of an inch. I have made them fit, but this is a first for me with Fia. Regarding Real Truck, I had shopped with them for a long time, but they dropped the ball on this order. Instead of receiving the order with in 3 weeks time, it was closer to 6 weeks. They said it had to with manufacturing time, but when I said to cancel this order, they seem to find this cover the next day.
So the cover was an odd fit. And Real Truck lost a customer.
It's sure made a big difference on my '98 Dodge 12-valve; much better warm-up and heater function. The only 'gripe' I have is that, after using the bug screen as a template, 2 of the mounting holes were off a tad. Not a big deal; minor issue.
Installed easy. Was very careful with the stick on snaps. Worked well for over a week through a lot of driving. Then it rained and fell off in the driveway. Now I will put on real snaps and get another grill for summer
