The Kargo Master Econo Truck Bed Racks are the strong and simple solution for affordable cargo handling. This thick walled, 2" diameter tubular rack has a 500 lbs cargo capacity. Stout 3/16" thick foot plates are 17" long to ensure evenly distributed loads and also to provide a secure, flat mounting base for your tool box.
The Econo truck rack can be used individually or as a pair. Mount a single rack at the front of the bed to keep cargo off the roof, or mount two uprights to make a full length truck bed rack. No drill mount brackets are included offering easy installation that clamps to your bed rail. The Kargo Master Econo Truck Racks are quickly and easily removed when not in use and can be easily stored.
The crossbar height (bedrail to bottom of the bar) can be set to either 23.5" or 26.5" to allow clearance for even the tallest pickup truck cabs. All racks are yellow zinc plated and then finished with a marine grade black powder coat.

This Rack works out great for transporting our 17' aluminum,(Grumman)canoe. It was straight forward to install on my 2005 Ford Ranger Edge, with no problems; Heavy duty. I'm very happy with it.
I was very disappointed with the fact it wasn't made for a quick installation or removal. I expected it to fit the openings in my RAM 1500; I had to remove the bed-liner and drill 2 holes in the bed to install the unit near the cab.
I have purchased this item for a Christmas gift for myself, and I'm loving it! Easy install. Universal design makes it so. With the jet black paint, looks sharp against the silver finish of my truck. A must have if you have extra long items that need to be hauled. Only wish that it had a support beam that connected the front to back (for extra tie supports, etc). Definitely a great buy for the money and will definitely come back to the site for additional purchases.
I bought this to haul a kayak. It is much sturdier than I was expecting. extremely easy to install.
I found it very easy to put together by myself and put on my truck. Only negative was that the nuts & washers supplied were the wrong size, otherwise a good product and reasonably priced.
If you do not have open cargo rack channels in your truck bed rails, you must drill 3/8" holes - 4 at a minimum. I ended up drilling 8. With 8 bolts plust the clamp on bolts, the rack is VERY stable.
This rack is great for hauling my long ladders.recieved rack quickly and free shipping was a good deal.
When looking for a rack to install on my 2011 F150 short bed I was interested in ease of installation with no drilling envolved. So I naturally was attracted to the product because it stated emphatically that no drilling was needed. Well that's not exactly the truth, I did have to drill for each rail post position down through the side rail of the truck bed, one 3/8 hole at each spot. I thought, here we go again and was sure I'd been ripped. I proceeded any way because I didn't want to pack this thing up and ship it back and deal with the potential of fightin for a refund. Bottom line when I finished I was amazingly supprised and pleased that it turned out strong and sturdy. I would recommend this product. Now I know that I can intsall and remove it in minutes. And by the way I tried to click on the 'average' star for ease of installation, yet found it difficult to rate below 'good'. Go figure!
I will admit my main use for the Kargo Rack system was for my canoe when we travel long distances, but it has become much more than that. My 45lb neice, when bord on one trip, used it as monkey bars. Swinging on one. I was worried the frame would bend or the bars would give way. Nope. Didn't happened. Only a screw brace bent. I simply hammered it back into shape and it was ready to go again. Truck and rack have been used for moving, hunting and various things. The construction on this rack was very well thought out and solid.
For a 48 year old lady, if I can set both racks up in less than 35 min by myself, you young guys can have it up in less time. I really like the fact I dont have to drill into my truck, and I can take it down when I don't need it.
