 I ordered this item to use on family vacation. It came in quickly and was exactly as described. This is a very durable item, a tad heavy but very sturdy and will work great for years to come. I am glad I spent the money on this item vs the flimsy model several of my friends bought at local auto parts place, theres are poor quality and rock back and forth while this one is solid and worked great throughout our trip.

 Very sturdy. Easy to assemble. I like that you have some adjustment on the distance between the carrier and the rear bumper of the car. I highly recommend the ROLA hitch carrier.

 Easy install to the ROLA carrier and integrated well with my 10 Yukon Denali. Bought an additional adaptor to fit the trailer plug on the truck but no issues.

 Great product and easy to assemble. Looks great on my 2010 Yukon Denali and combined it with the light kit to add to the safety factor. Though sturdy and heavy, can be mounted to the truck by a single person. I have used the product in short haul scenarios to date but could not be more pleased. RT.com had the best price and shipping by far.

 This carrier is heavy duty and good looking. The only reason it didn't get five stars is because the hardware was not complete. I had to go buy some extra bolts, nuts, and washers to put it together completely. This didn't seem to be the fault of realtruck.com as the item came in the manufacturers box.

 I actually purchased two cargo carriers (The Surco 52018 with light kit 52014 and ROLA Hitch Carrier 59502 with light kit 20174). Both cargo carriers are well made and good choices for users desiring heavy duty, quality carriers. I would recommend either one. There are some minor differences that you might consider important. The Surco has an 8-9 inch shank that comes straight back from the car. Therefore it sits closer to the car and lower to the road. The advantage could be that with a low cargo a SUV gate might still open and of course you have a few less inches off the back of your car. The cargo space is 24 x 60 vs about 22 x 56 on the ROLA. This might be important with 24" suitcases (a standard size). The ROLA has a 15 inch shank that angles up, raising the carrier several inches higher than the Surco and a few inches further from the back of the car. The deck of the ROLA is slightly smaller, but is rated for 600 pounds vs 500 pounds. Both light kits work well, but the person who installed both for me liked the Surco because if attached to a bar rather than in the rubber/vinyl inserts. I think they are both good and would suggest you opt for the carrier that best suits you and then buy the light kit that is designed for it. Realtruck.com filled the order quickly and had the product at my door in just a few days.

 This carrier is very well built and I recently took it on an 800 mile round trip. It performed flawlessly and was as advertised. Easy to assemble as well.

The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars was the weight, it takes two regular people to install and remove....other than that, which is probably a good thing, I give it thumbs up!
