Great kit for the price. Instructions were easy to follow and accurate. Only problem to be found was the sway bar bolts needed to have smaller head or be a socket head to allow for clearance at the bushing.
Just installed my new 5" Zone suspension lift and love it. Very easy to install and love the new look with my 35"s.
This kit installed the way the instructions described.
My kid wanted his XJ to not look so little. I didn't want to spend a ton of $$ on his Jeep so I installed this kit with the add-a-leaf rear. I was pretty impressed with what I got for the money. It rides pretty decent (firm but not rough) and definitely better than it did pre lift. Being winter around here I haven't tested it off-road yet but I think it will do just fine on the mild trails the kid uses to get to his camp spots during the summer. Install was pretty simple. Took me a day with no help and no air tools. Just soak all the old nuts and bolts with penetrating fluid daily for a week before you dive in and it will make things so much better. Getting the old stuff off was the hardest part. Also; the guys at the alignment shop were pretty impressed with what this kit gives you for your money as well. If you don't want to drop a bunch of cash and want to run 30's with room to spare, I would recommend this lift.
Keep in mind that adding any lift will accentuate other problems that you may not know you had. I ended up getting an adjustable track bar in addition to this lift as the Jeep had a minor front wobble prior to the lift which became much worse after the lift. New track bar and problem solved!
After installing and rigorously road and trail testing the F150 with 2" lift I'm a very happy customer. The vehicle handling and ride was not adversely effected while acheiving a 2" lift that allowed more precious ground clerance that was much needed on the Last Chance Canyon trail in the Mojave desert.
The installation was a little frustrating as the directions were not accurate for the 2014 F150, however, the lift kit fits correctly and does included fasteners of appropriate high quality grade 5 hardware. The crux part is reinstalling the front struts with the spacer installed on top and getting the press fit bolts on the bottom of the strut back into the lower "A" arm. This configuration was not discussed in the instructions and accommodation required two key steps. The first verifying full disengagement of hub from the drive spindle and second freeing more line clamps on brake and ABS systems and the use of large pry bars to gain sufficient opening between upper and lower attachment points of the strut. The rotation of the strut bolts on bottom to a near vertical orientation is crucial.
When installation of the lift kit was completed the realignment required was minor with adjustment of 1/4" and 5/16" respectively for left and right side.
The rear end blocks were very straight forward to install. However, the U-Bolts are too long and should be cut shorter after nut installation as they hang down too far. I bent two ends during the trail drive on rocks in the river bed.
Highway ride is still as plush as before lift kit installation with a slight bias to front end actuation over speed bumps. Perhaps an adjustable strut would address this minor change and also benefit off-road suspension performance too.
Love the lift! I also have 2" leveling kit I put on to for a total of 7"! Rides smooth and looks great
Not recommended to install by yourself, I paid a professional that had all the right tools and lifts. It was well worth the minimal amount I paid to have it installed. Great Product and Jeep Grand Cherokee preforms excellent.
