    Description

Do you want something to jazz up that dull bumper step on your new Chevy or GMC? Anzo has the solution with their new LED rear bumper steps. Black housing with clear lens LED lights make for an awesome add on to your truck. These lights shine red while running, braking, and signaling. Sounds pretty sweet so far, right? Anzo took it to another level by also integrating white LEDs for your reverse lights.

Of course you can't have just one side, so these bad-ass illuminated step pads are sold in pairs. Anzo's one year manufacturer warranty against defects make for an easy decision when it comes to purchasing these killer LED rear bumper step lights!

the first set I had the lenses came loose and got water in them and killed some of the lights. Got them replaced under warranty and the new ones did the same thing within a week. Had to use silicone on them to keep the lenses in place and keep water out. They do look great on the truck.

Product looks great and I highly recommend them for your truck. They add increased backup lighting not only behind the truck but flood the sides as well. Do yourself a favor and throw the instructions away. Pull the whole bumper off and install them. Trust me it is much easier. Took me a good 1.5 hours to install one of them by the instructions. Took 20 minutes to do the other after i removed the bumper. It may seem like a lot of work but it is worth the extra steps.
    Looks great!

As a mechanic myself, the installation of these lights was a task and a half. The four outer screws were no problem but the two inner ones...patience is a virtue. The wires on these lights are very thin and the wire connectors would not make good contact. I had to trim back the coating on all the wires and [hard wire] them in. So far they are working great and look great! Definitely not designed for the average person to install. However, a little experience and a lot of patience is required.
Look Awesome but need some improvement

These step lights look awesome once installed, especially in reverse. The intensity of the white lights really aid the stock reverse lights in giving useable light for the camera and side mirrors. The price point is good for the impact in relation to cost. The installation is a different story. I have over 30 years of personal and professional experience working on vehicles and the installation instructions, which I had to download from the Anzo website because they were not included with the lights, make it seem like a 30 minute total installation. This is far from the truth. It is obvious that GM puts the steps and inserts into the bumper and then installs the bumper making some of the internal fasteners hard to get to for removal. Use masking tape around painted surfaces to avoid scratching paint while removing fasteners. The Anzo steps do not fit as securely as the stock steps. Once installed if you catch your boot on lip while using step it will pick up on outside edge. I found a piece of two sided adhesive moulding tape works well to hold this down. The wires are very small but are plenty long to run to good splice points. I recommend using tape or silicone to secure them into the groove on underside of step so they stay where they need to be during installation. Before installation, I wrapped the wires together their entire length with good electrical tape and ran them through flexible plastic wire conduit. (My thought is that this is a very inhospitable area under a truck behind the rear tires. The longer you can keep road grime and filth and salt away from wiring the better). Finally use good butt splice connectors that you can shrink seal with heat and once again wrap/cover to protect from elements. I was told by a friend that is an ASE and GM certified master mechanic that failure to use proper heat shrink connectors will eventually cause electrical gremlins to arise over time in the newer trucks because of corrosion in bad wire splices and cheap connectors. The installation of 2nd step was much faster than 1st obviously, but still allow yourself a couple hours to do the installation properly and thoroughly. I get many comments from friends and strangers alike about how much they like the lights and they really comment on the white lights when I unlock the truck at night. Nice product for the money, just needs a little more research and development
