The BedLocker tonneau cover is the industry's leading electric, hard retractable truck bed cover. The durable black powder-coated finish and all aluminum panels glide smoothly along the rails with just the push of a button. It retracts completely into the front canister for full truck bed access and closes securely against the tailgate when you want your bed and its contents secure and out of the weather.
The Electromagnetic brake in the BedLocker allows you to lock the cover in any position of the cargo box, whether partially open, fully opened, or securely closed. This allows you to use the cover in numerous ways and carry all kinds of cargo. The aerodynamic, low profile design not only increases your fuel economy but creates a sleek and classy look. This power tonneau is designed for years of use and can withstand anything Mother Nature throws at it. Gooseneck and 5th wheel trailer hitch users just love this product for the versatility, total truck bed security, and the ability to lock the cover in any position.
Installation is easy. The speed clamp installation system that's included is a no-drill, clamp on design for a faster attachment to your pickup truck box. BedLocker tonneau covers are backed by the industries longest warranty for this class of tonneau. Make your bed and style your truck with a BedLocker.
Optional Explorer Series Rails: The BedLocker tonneau is also available with optional Explorer Series Rails. These optional rails allow you to use your BedLocker with other accessories including truck racks like the Contractors Rig Rack and Utility Rig Rack, as well as other multi-sport rack accessories from ProRac & Thule including the special Thule load bar kits for Pace-Edward covers.
- Explorer rails are recommended when you would like to mount a Pace Edwards overhead rack or crossbars
- Standard rails are recommended when you don't plan on adding a Pace Edwards overhead rack
The BedLocker Cover comes standard as a no-drill, clamp-on installation (most models) and it can generally be installed in about 90 minutes (feel free to scream in excitement). |A friend and I installed this cover in 2+ hours... The instructions were clear and each part is well thought out and well-made. We both went at drilling the drain holes in a brand new truck bed with a bit of trepidation but it all worked out well. I suggest a spray can of bed-liner for the holes where the drain tubes are inserted. My cover is the envy of all my truckin' buddies!|

RealTruck's customer service is 2nd to none. The cover itself is all that I need it to be (low profile, dependable, and sturdy). I have purchased 2 now, one last year and one just a week ago, and would buy another as well. However, 2 things worth noting:
#1. The motor seems a little weak. For that kind of money they could put something a little stronger in there. I'd have paid extra for a little more HP myself.
I had my 1st motor burn out quickly (within a month), but then it was replaced right away and has held up just fine for for 15 months and counting now. Still, it was worth noting.
#2. The 8' bed versions should definitely come with at least 2 extra brackets to hold it down. Otherwise, it slants in (there goes the low-profile), buckles a bit, and is anything but secure.
I knew this when I ordered my 2nd one (their local service rep installed the extra brackets for me last year when he replaced the bad motor) so I asked for extra brackets to be sent with this order. I'm not sure if the guy at PE was having a bad day or what, but he was really short with me when I called (telling me "our techs are the experts" when I mentioned to him that the longer bed needed more support) and wanted to charge me $80 for these tiny little brackets (which again, SHOULD come with the 8' model). I was willing to pay cost on them or slightly above (even though, again, they SHOULD come with this $2k cover), but on principle I am not going to get ripped off like that (he told me 2 for $60 or 4 for $80 so I know their cost could not possibly be more than $10 each).
In any case, the conversation wasn't going anywhere so I just gave up and figured I would fabricate my own somehow once it got here. In fact, I hung up, because he was being a bit rude/dismissive and as with most people these days (the people at RealTruck are just the opposite and clearly make customer service/satisfaction their #1 priority) he didn't seem to care about a customer who already handed over his money.
With all that being said, he ultimately did the right thing and sent the extra brackets express, and I used them in the install just now. So.. All's well that ends well and good on them for making things right.
Still, I hate to complain and I am not one to pout until I get my way, so I wish that whole thing could have went down differently. Also, the "experts" over at PE really need to go back to the drawing board on this one, because I assure you the 8" bed is MUCH better with 6 or 8 clamps than it is with 4 (sure, it will work with 4, but...). It is a very noticeable difference, but then again you wouldn't know it IF you just installed it with they "give" you.
So, yeah, I would recommend either one of two things: Either PE starts sending 2 extra brackets with the 8" bed OR you call up and catch them on a better day than I did.
This cover is GREAT if you install it properly.

I love it and easy to use. I had a professional person installed it and he did a good job.

pricey but worth it, I had it professionally installed so can't comment on that. I can say it's not 100% water proof , it leaks towards the back where the drains are which I plan on sealing with silicone and where the cover meets the tailgate the rubbish piece it comes with doesn't cover about 1/2inch on each side therefore water leaks through there as well. Other than that great cover and love the automatic minus the huge remote.

This bed locker is very nice. It has a remote control and is very easy to use. You will loose a foot or two of bed space for the motor. It's strong and the appearance is far superior to the others. I can't comment on ease of installation. I had it done professionally. You won't be disappointed.

after ordering it took about 5 days for delivery. I opened the box and read the instructions completely. I had to have help to set the unit in place, then did the rest by myself. It took about 2 1/2 hours to complete. Works great except has slight water leakage. I think it is because this one doesn't have the rubber upper seal like my old one had, it has a felt seal instead. Also i think i might add a tailgate seal to stop water.
