I was very happy to find this bug screen for my truck online at the price. Ordering process was extremely easy, shipping was very prompt. My son installed this in no time at all, and it looks great on the truck. We intend to just leave it on there year round. Will we order from reraltruck.com again? You bet we will!
We have 1 of these on both of our trucks. They work great at keeping the bugs of the chrome and out of the radiator. 1 came with the truck when we bought it, and we added the other to our other truck. The 1 that came with the truck has screwed on snap's. Wish the new had come with the screw-on snap's instead of the stick on, but so far so good with the stick-on snaps. Then we would give it 5 stars. Screen is Very Easy to clean. We do recommend you use a good chrome cleaner/polish on the truck while waiting for the screen to dry before putting it back on.
I recently installed the bug screen with the 3M fastening system. So far I have driven from Arizona to Canada, enroute to Alaska and the stick on snaps are solidly in place. During the installation, I cleaned the locations of the stick-on snaps with rubbing alcohol, taped the screen in place with blue painters tape, marked the location of the stick-on snaps with a sharpy, stuck the snaps on one at a time, holding pressure on each one for 30 seconds, and let the bond set up for 24 hours before snapping the screen in place. Take the time and do the install right. Lose the single alcohol pad that comes with the kit and get some rubbing alcohol and thoroughly clean the snap locations first. Let the bond cure sufficiently, and the bug screen will work as advertised. So far, 3000 miles thru sunshine, rain and snow, and still holding strong. Great product, fit perfectly on my 2003 Ford F-350, and I would purchase this product again. Good Luck.
The bug screen was received well packed, with easy-to-follow instruction, and the application was quick and simple. My only concern is, will the stick-on snaps stay put after an automated car wash? We will see later.
