The Speedometer Calibrator is the hottest new product from Hypertech, the leader in automotive aftermarket programmers. This new device is engineered for the consumer that wants the speedometer recalibration functions of the Max Energy programmer, but without the additional expense of the other features included with the Max Energy.
The Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator programmer plugs into the vehicles under dash OBDII port. Users simply select the tire height and new gear ratio and within a matter of minutes the vehicle's computer is reprogrammed for accurate speedometer and odometer readings. In addition, Hypertech's Speedometer Calibrator programmers have the ability to correct, read, and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) or "check engine" lights.
This allows owners to view detailed information about the vehicle's operation without having to purchase expensive diagnostic computers or scanners used by dealership technicians. The Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator programmer is available for most late model GM, Ford, and Dodge/Chrysler trucks, SUVs, and cars.
Order NotesPlease Note: The Speedometer Calibration Programmer can only be used with one vehicle at a time. As with all other programmers, once programmed, the programmer is locked to that vehicle and cannot be used with any other vehicles until the programmed vehicle is returned to stock settings.

Wow! What great service from RealTruck! Ordered on Thursday night and my new calibrator arrived the following Saturday morning. That's fast!
The Hypertech Calibrator worked as advertised. Read the chart, plugged it in, set my new larger tire size and two minutes later, program finished, good to go. It works that fast and that well on my new F150.
I then checked the corrected speed with my GPS app and it was off by one mph. So I reloaded the next smaller size down (two minutes) and the speedo is now PERFECT against the GPS.
So far I'm very impressed with this Hyperech programmer.
|I resently bought the Hypertech speedometer calibrater programmer and after reading the instuctions, it took me less than five minutes to re-program my speedometer for bigger tires. It worked great.

Very easy to use, we couldn't figure out which fuses to pull so we called the tech line, and the tech told us which two to pull, and that was it, ten minutes later and we were done- very easy.
The Hypertech Programmer is easy to use. The price is a little high, but you get what you pay for. The only available units for your tire size are given in inches. If you are running 285x70x17's for instance, you will have to measure the tire and then select the closest size in inches from the menu. I currently have 35" tires installed. Using a GPS unit and the Hypertech set at 35, there was an error of 3 MPH. I adjusted down to 34" in order to get the GPS and my speedometer to match. The price and the noted error are the reason this unit does not get 5 stars. I would recommend this unit to others.
The calibrator was very easy to use, the only issue was the circumference of my tires was 31.67 and the only choices I had was 31.5 or 31.75 but I got the speedometer with one mile an hour, according to my garmin... I recommend this product to anyone regardless of their mechanical/electrical back ground...
Easy directions. Simple to use.
This product works great. It displays the exact mileage onmy speedo as my EDGE Attitude. The only issue I had was programming my truck. I own a 2005 Chevrolet Duramax running on 35's. The directions say to have the key to the "run" position in order to program. I had difficulty as it would reach 63% complete in the programming phase and then an error would appear saying it lost communication. After a bit of frustration, I tinkered with the programmer and discovered that if I began the programmng with the key in the "run" position,I would turn the key to "Accessory" positoin and it programmed the computer on the first time. Weird, but it worked. I did have the EDGE system disconnected while I progarnmmed it also. I have since recommended the programmer to my brother who also has a Duramax with 35's. He hasn't received it as of yet so we'll see if he has the same problems. I would highly recommend re-progranmmng your computer when you add larger tires, especially if you drive a Duramax with the Allison transmission. It brings it back to life with clean smooth shifts like we bought the Allison for. I drove my truck for about 300 miles after installing the lift and tires and it seemed to be searching for gears, not to mention my speedo was off by 9 miles an hour. One speeding ticket and this product paid for itself. Good buy. R Terry Laramie, Wyoming
Really easy to use, when they say "plug and play" they mean it. It took about 60 seconds to reprogram and now my speedometer is right. No more guessing. Also, you can upgrade it online if you want to pay. Pretty handy, very satisfied.
