Prairie Business Magazine Names RealTruck One of Top Three Places to Work A "50 Best Places to Work" contest evaluates work environment, benefits, and employee happiness
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Aug. 06, 2014) - North Dakota-based e-commerce company RealTruck.com is proud to announce that it has been named to Prairie Business magazine's "50 Best Places to Work" list.
In its first year, the contest was created to honor companies that demonstrate a commitment to making their business one of the best places to work in the northern Great Plains (which includes all of the Dakotas and western Minnesota). Companies were nominated through an anonymous employee satisfaction survey that allowed for ratings in areas such as work environment, employee benefits, and employee happiness. Consideration was also given to the number of nominations received per company.
After the nominations and votes were evaluated, RealTruck was named to the top-25 list of small companies, and ranked among the top three. Prairie Business magazine will honor the winning companies in its September issue.
"Recognition as one of the best places to work in the region is a remarkable honor," said Scott Bintz, RealTruck.com CEO. "North Dakota is developing at a phenomenal rate and a number of businesses - both new and old - are prioritizing internal development in order to keep and attract talent. We are extremely proud that out of all the companies nominated, RealTruck.com ranked among the top three. It means a lot to us that our own efforts are recognized by the community and, most importantly, by our employees."
The Jamestown, ND-based company, with an office in Fargo, ND, ended 2013 with $28.5 million in revenue and enjoyed 63.1% overall sales growth over its performance in 2012. It was recently recognized by Internet Retailer in 2014 as the 14th fastest-growing e-commerce website and the 20th fastest-growing company in the world. The company attributes its growth and success to the investments it has made to its corporate culture, which emphasizes open communication, freedom of personal expression, going above and beyond the status quo, and making work fun.
"We not only strive to be the best in the business but to provide the best work experience possible," said RealTruck President Jeff Vanlaningham. "We invest in our employees because they invest in us. We would not succeed without the hard work of the incredible people who work at RealTruck and the great relationships we have with our partners."
