|It is very low profile. The tension is adjustable, tight, and it lays flat.|
It does have a small Access Vanish logo near the tailgate, not cool, so I took a can of flat black spray paint, sprayed some paint in a glass jar lid, and used a very small artists paint brush and blacked out the white and red logo. It's pretty much invisible now. 5 stars is my honest rating.
|Pro: Looks good, fits well, very "taught" right out of the box, I had to loosen the tensioners one turn to get it to close it was so tight, but I was installing this in cold (~45 degree) weather. Fits on my truck even though it has a spray-in Line-X over the rails bedliner. The bows are made of strong, tubular aluminum.|
Leaks from the front of the bed like a sieve, especially if you park facing slightly downhill. The "element seal" that comes with some of the Access tonneaus doesn't come with this model, and I *HIGHLY* recommend spending the $20 and buying the front seal separately! I had to order the seal after the fact and I'll have to partially disassemble the tonneau to put it in. If it had come with the seal (which it SHOULD have, I'm sure it would have added all of $5 to the price) I'd have given this tonneau 5 stars.
Clamps are fiddly to get on so the rails are level. The weatherstrip on the rails where it meets the bed could be thicker for those of us with rough bed liners, but still seals pretty well on the sides. The tensioners could use a mark to tell you when you've turned them a complete turn, I had to scratch a mark on the dial so I could tell when I had it backed off 1 turn to adjust the tension. The hooks to hold the tonneau when rolled up are flimsy soft plastic, they really should be a black-rubber coated steel. Bows are shiny silver aluminum when the rest of the tonneau is black for some reason.
Overall I'm quite satisfied with this tonneau, especially the appearance of it, despite the technical issues. Once I work out the leaking I'm sure I'll be happier.
