The Shocker Gooseneck Air Hitch is a towing accessory designed to provide a smoother, more stable towing experience, especially for heavy loads. Unlike traditional fixed gooseneck hitches, the Shocker Gooseneck Air Hitch features an airbag system that absorbs shock and vibration, reducing the impact on both the truck and the trailer.
What makes the Shocker Gooseneck Air Hitch stand out from the rest is its air ride suspension system, this system utilizes compressed air to cushion the connection between your truck and trailer to minimize jarring, jolts, bumps and even damage during your towing adventure.
Shocker Hitch has two different styles of air ride goosenecks hitches for you. Make sure you pick the one that is best for your needs. The standard air gooseneck works great with longer truck beds, trailers that the gusset is at least 3” from the bottom of the stem opening. Where the 9” offset is perfect for trailers that have a squared front, you have a short bed truck.
Every Shocker Surge gooseneck hitch comes with three adjustment holes and is custom designed to fit your trailers specs, simply choose your stem to match your existing coupler stem tube, these are either square or round, then pick between 3.5”, 3-5/16”, 4” or 4.5” for your stem size, lastly make sure you have the correct pin hole (straight through or angled), or top crank.
If you are tired of feeling every bump while pulling your gooseneck trailer, then it’s time to step up your towing game with the Shocker Hitch Gooseneck Air Hitch. Just remember to measure twice and order once.

Order Notes

The Shocker Hitch is a heavy-duty unit; however, it is imperative that any weight capacity ratings are not exceeded on the ball that is mounted on your tow vehicle, or the Shocker Hitch. Use only a 2 5/16" diameter ball that is V-19 rated. Do not exceed gross vehicle weight rating of the ball being used.

When towing heavy trailers or trailers with high wind resistance it may be necessary to increase air pressure in the Shocker Hitch.

Specifications

When ordering the right hitch for you, we need to look at these few things.
What style of Gooseneck you need?
Standard Surge Goose Neck
The Standard – This hitch is designed for trailers that have neck gusset 3in from the bottom of the trailer neck sleeve.
9” Offset Surge Gooseneck
The 9” offset version is good for increasing cab clearance when turning corners with trailers that have a wide square front and a short box truck.
Measuring Guide:
If you have a round stem gooseneck, this guide will help you know which gooseneck hitch & coupler to order. Tube Size can vary from 100mm (3-15/16″) to 4″ in diameter. Measuring through pin holes can usually tell the size. If slightly less than 4″ it’s a 100mm (3-15/16″ stem). Square stems can be 100mm (3-15/16″, 4″ or 4.5”. This guide is for round tube stem gooseneck.
If the pin is Angled on a metric 100mm (3-15/16″) stem then the pin angle is greater than if it is angled on a 4″ stem. Straight pin holes are the least common. A 4″ round stem with angled pins is the most common. If it has a bulldog sticker, it is going to be a 4″ stem with angled pin.
Safety Notice:
The Shocker Hitch is a heavy-duty unit that in most cases exceeds factory weight capacities, therefore it is imperative that you always read and follow the tongue and towing weight capacities recommendations of your truck.
Maximum Pressure:
Do not exceed 100 psi in the air bag, as it may cause damage.
The Shocker Hitch Gooseneck Surge hitch is a low-pressure hitch that absorbs the front & back jerking and tugging the trailer does to the truck resulting in a better ride for you and your trailer contents.
